Great collection....nicely displayed... i think i have u beat as ive been a fan since 56 at 8 y.o..started collecting at 12 so there's a lot here...met Elvis in 67 and 68 in L.A...saw 30 shows from 69 to 76...we flew or drove from B.C Canada... a true fan and collector...keep up the great work!!!! I must say when u met Elvis he truly loved his fans!!!!! 😊

I recently bought in a period of a year 9 Sony Legacy 2 CD Sets like on stage, today, way down in the jungle room etc. I am now looking at and if there are more of these types? Especially looking for Elvis is back accompanied by something for Everybody, but many stores say there isn't one only jewel case two cd and not the "cardboard" legacy version so I, can't find, it. And are there more then the 9 or ten that I already have? Next to that I have the box seize of Aloha from hawaii, back in Memphis, live 1969,on Tour sets, those size are there more of them? I have 6 of them latest is Elvis Memphis. If you know what I mean by that? I'm sorry for the many questions. @@sincerelyelvispresley

So a lot of people will get pleasure out of seeing your collection. Mine is "The Elvis Encyclopedia" only because I have a wealth of good information ready within easy reach. If I was asked to only take five pieces of Elvis music with me to a Desert Island, I would have to pick the Golden Records one through to four, and to round it out I would choose, "That's The Way it is". But ask me tomorrow and that list would change. Sean, I would very much like your impression of "The Elvis Encyclopedia" I would also take it with me to that Desert Isle. Adam Victor has accumulated a vast body of Elvis work into a 598 page masterpiece. For me it would be a encyclopedia that even Elvis would be proud of. "The Elvis Reader: Text and Sources on the King of Rock 'N' Roll": Kevin Quain, St. Martin's Press New York, 1992 and "Remember Elvis"; Joe Esposito TCB Publishing Paperback; 2006. I love your devotion to all things Elvis and your Elvis knowledge. I have "Elvis" by Albert Goldman, McGraw-Hill Book Company, 1981. That publication is a hard read for most Elvis Fans, and with good reason, Goldman is fixated on the grotesque throughout its 598 pages. However his research is impeccable. Lamar Fike has stated in various places, that he gave Goldman much of the information for Goldman's research. I noticed that you referenced Elvis Presley "The Mono Masters" from Venus Records in this video. That is a great collection, its great to have. Elvis did prefer the mono versions rather than the stereo. And the Mono's do sound nice. As an Australian, I am proud that Baz Luhrmann filmed his "Elvis" Movie here in Queensland on the Gold Coast. I have seen all the other actors that played Elvis, but Austin Butler became Elvis for Luhrmann's Elvis project. Till that movie was made Kurt Russell's performance was stellar, however, it will be sometime before Butler's performance is bettered. Hope Luhrmann releases his Four Hour Version of "Elvis" soon Would love to know your thoughts on Luhrmann's Elvis. This is an Elvis web site I highly recommend its called: The Elvis Information Network, here is their website www.elvisinfonet.com. Hi, I don't necessarily think so, it depends if you're a fan of outtakes or not, because you get a lot of them on the Stax set. The good thing about the Legacy box sets is that they're all available on streaming services, so you can have a listen and decide if they're for you before buying

May I ask another question? I saw you have the three 5 cd boxset's the complete 50's Masters, the Essential 60's Masters and the Essential 70's masters in book form. I am in doubt because I have those in lp format boxset with lp format book in it. And I have two in book form the 60's Masters I and the 70's Masters. Is it a, bad idea to sell the big lp format 5 cd sets and get something else or keep them because they are original and the book format is a re issue?
It's really down to personal preference I guess. I had the bigger sets first time around, but went for the compact ones this time simply because they take up much less space

Actually no Paul, that's the sum total of 45s. God, I'm not going down that route - there's only so much space...and money!
Hello Sir, I was able to get the searcher today and it arrives in a week. My question is with at stax. I have the Memphis and the 70's boxset would stax be a overkill then? Because I see, most of the songs are on those two as well?
Hi, I don't necessarily think so, it depends if you're a fan of outtakes or not, because you get a lot of them on the Stax set. The good thing about the Legacy box sets is that they're all available on streaming services, so you can have a listen and decide if they're for you before buying

I'm a huge Elvis fan but also not that familiar with everything so I go with your advice on this and look for it if I can get it anywhere. I saw a single CD from stax but love boxset's more. May I ask another question? I saw you have the three 5 cd boxset's the complete 50's Masters, the Essential 60's Masters and the Essential 70's masters in book form. I am in doubt because I have those in lp format boxset with lp format book in it. And I have two in book form the 60's Masters I and the 70's Masters. Is it a, bad idea to sell the big lp format 5 cd sets and get something else or keep them because they are original and the book format is a re issue?
It's really down to personal preference I guess. I had the bigger sets first time around, but went for the compact ones this time simply because they take up much less space
