So many years dreaming about having one... Stock, maybe some exhaust. But I'm afraid it will keep in my dreams. From 7k to 9k rpm, is heaven. Best 4 cyl stock sounding ever.
True, it looks perfect with that front bumper, wheels are gorgeous, spot on power level not too much not too little, and no stupid useless aftermarket things, it's a very nice OEM+ build.I want it bad 😁

The majority of the cars tested here are way faster than this Honda but, this car really made me smile, what a great machine! All those tuned Audi's, Mercedes and most BMW luxury cars with 600 or more hp are so emotionless, I mean the only sense of speed you get is checking the speedometer. But this Honda is what sportcars is about.. Fantastic work by the owner..
Most fast modern cars are too perfect and boring. You can eat a burger while doing 100-200 in 10 seconds. Do this in a Honda that does the same time and you will shit your pants

@aaa bbb I'm pretty sure the hoax will get uncovered as such like many other hoaxes already have gotten uncovered. Most countries actually stopped the development of batteries for e-cars and their stimulus, means the direction is rather pro petrol/diesel cars than e-cars :D
For a 2 liter 4 cilinder engine it sounds glorious! What a great sound. I don't think he daily drives it though. I mean the rpm in 6th gear are mindblowing high. Never the less very nice.

I'm in the States so we got the AP2 in 2004, same engine as the AP1s but quicker in the low to mid range. However 9k on the tach was lowered to 8k. Nonetheless it is an amazing car to drive and it still increases my heart rate every time I take it for a spin ! Love your vids. Thanks for this one Max.
Old 90`s to mid 2000`s Honda in any motorization + sport exhaust = stupidly wide smile on your face everytime you turn that keys to crank it up :) Driving lightweight cars with double wishbone and independent rear suspension in combination with high revving engine married to responsive gearshifter is like a meth. They tempt you to do heel and toe and crawl the traffic on every opportunity possible. Love them forever ❤.
Ye but not turbo.. It will ruin the s2000 experience.. They should bring it supercharged to be close in terms of power with the other brands. S2000 in steroids from factory imagine it!
amazing setup right there... I think more HP would not make sense here anymore. This sounds like so much fun! I have 1989 civic with B16a engine, and that alone is fun for me. Cant imagine this!
First learn to drive it stock. The car has no helping angels. Ofcourse Yuri's car is sick but it is not a project of 1 day to get everything working good. And the costs of all the parts and work are high. After 12 years owning mine, i still love it stock. Mine has only KW V3 suspension and TAROX brakes in the front. Wish you a lot of drivingfun in your S2K! :)

@@ar1axx00xx I have driven a lot with the lid of the oem airintake box for more intake sound. But then the engine is breating in more hot air. It sound faster but it is not. :)
every so often manufacturers just let their engineers go wild. no rules, no market analysis, no politics. the s2000, to me, is the perfect honda. reliable as ever, affordable and accessible (atleast when it came out), simple, elegant, and, most importantly, eager as ever to rev up. it's what makes this car so special

120 km/h 6th gear is around 4500rpm and thats the stock gear ration
FK8 owner here, soon to be FL5. What a wonderful car not only beautiful to look at, but a timeless engine and gearbox, cherished by the owner.

I have one stock S2000. It's a 2004 euro (AP2 + F20C2) and yes, it's not super fast (straight line), but I's the best car I ever driven.
I live old school VTEC Honda engines. The F20 borrowed a lot from the engine used in the Honda Accord touring car from the BTCC era!
Sounds better than the 600HP Turbo S2000 and is in character more an extension of the old S2000 theme
