6:39 God the artist who drew Vader’s face deserves an award. Those eyes have ZERO traces of happiness, optimism, or even anger. It’s one of the saddest looks I’ve ever seen in a comic. Pure raw sadness is all I see in Vader’s eyes. A man who lost everything and with nothing left to lose. Absolutely beautiful.

Vader has vague respect for anyone of actual use, even the lowest soldiers and offices. Only when they really disappoint or enrage him does he kill them. This nurse is competent at least, just creepy.
That said, I'm certain a Sith Lord isn't against setting up a legitimate excuse to kill her. Leaving the cape could have let her do any number of stupid things, she just happened to go for gold.

I loved the plot. It already seemed strange to me that Vader was going to interact with her, the way she wanted. The ending is loyal to Vader's disturbed nature. The author of the comic keeps us in suspense waiting for a romance to happen, then lowers us to reality. Vader is who he is, and he has no compassion or empathy for strangers, male or female. He only has Padme in the deepest memories of his mind. Very good comic. I recommend it.
