    Nice review ! Nightster lacks character, has more bells and whistles to break down. Parts and service costs are double and so on.... You made a good choice.

      I think so too. Even if I had the money (which I don’t), I’d still choose the Meteor. Knowing I had money movement to fix the awful rear shocks and add some bells and whistles 😂🙏

      Dunno why but they have always made me feel a little nauseous 🤢🤮

    Great job comparing and contrasting the two bikes.

    I miss the 90's one 2000's when we had many +/- 1000 cc bikes. The meteor just doesn't have enough for highway speeds with passenger and gear.

    • @Teacher-T-Thailand

      True I suppose, but cheaper to buy and more economical than 80s bikes, so can buy your pillion one also 😂🙏

      With about 50 HP you'll be able to go > 130 km/h even with passenger and luggage

    The Harley 883 is similar in Power and Torque than Royal SM 650

    Nice one Teacher T I have the Royal Enfield interceptor 650 and love it's nimble and fun I also have a Harley-Davidson electra glide ultra classic like the Street Glide its a 2010 model it handles well for a heavy bike and I love both Enjoy watching your channel keep up the blogs awesome mate and hello from Western Australia 🇦🇺

      Thank you so much 🙏 The guys at Harley were pushing me to test ride the bigger touring bikes. Telling me not to waste my time on the Nightster. I said I wouldn’t because they were well out of my budget. They said not to worry about that, because after I ride, I would find a way lol. So that scared me off even more because they were probably right. This was from the 2 guys that both own a Honda CT125. Glade you like the Interceptor.Chalk and cheese I suppose, but enough room for more than 1 bike in any one’s life 😂🙏

      You don't have to get a new one if you get a second hand one go for 2010 above they have the new frame/chassy and handle very well.
      So glad I got one they look awesome 👌 a heavy bike but once moving so easy to ride.

    Vulcan really was the best competition for SM650
    That belt driver however is awesome on RE. Where can I buy it?

    • @Teacher-T-Thailand

      Yeh I really did like the Vulcan much more than the Nightster. The belt drive kits are out of stock for another week or so I’ve heard, but you can show your interest here : rstech.my-online.store/product/royal-enfield-super-meteor-650-belt-drive

    Which one has less vibration the Super Meteor or the Harly?

    • @Teacher-T-Thailand

      The Hersey surprisingly. This new water-cooled engine was very vibration free. No character of a v-twin old style Harley at all. Still a nice ride. The modern Harley of the present and future I suppose. 🙏

    So the Super Meteor is rated at 61MPG, the best I have gotten is 47MPG. What's the best you have gotten?

    • @Teacher-T-Thailand

      I constantly got 26kpl. After the belt drive with a higher gear ratio I’m getting 28kpl, US and UK mpg are different. But 26kpl is 65.8 mpg US, or 79 mpg UK gallon. I always use 95 rated fuel. And no modifications on air filter or exhausts. Yours is very low. Any mods?

    • @joshuathomas8529

      @@Teacher-T-Thailand The only mods I have are paneer racks and a rear rack. I also have mounted a couple of 1.1 gallon or 5L metal gas cans. I only have about 400 miles on it so far. I do have a bad habit of enjoying the pull of it in 2nd gear. Mabe if I was more conservative in my acceleration I would get better fuel economy. Why the big difference between British and U.S units? I thought a mile was a mile and a gallon a gallon? 12 inch to a foot 5280 feet to a mile extra. What's the difference?

    • @joshuathomas8529

      @Teacher-T-Thailand I just looked it up a U.S gallon is 128oz and the British one is 160 that's crazy. It would appear that a mile is the same in both countries 5280 feet.

      @@joshuathomas8529 Americans like to change everything. Pavement - side walk. Bin - trash can, Bonnet - hood 😂 But only 400 miles, the bike is still tight and not run in properly yet. When it loosens up, you will get better mpg for sure. Especially after first service and oils change. 🙏

    • @joshuathomas8529

      @@Teacher-T-Thailand Pavement=side walk, What do you call the hard surface of a road or a parking lot/car park? Bin is something used to store stuff. Trash can that's self explanatory. Bonnet that is 1800's womans hat. I just got my first service done, I did it right at 310 miles. I have owned my Super meteor cense early November or so but the weather in Idaho has not been very motorcycle friendly because of the time of the year. I wanted to go ride to day but the winds were forecast to be up to 40MPH, not worth the risk. I would hate to live in Wyoming I would imagine that sate only has 30 days a year of riding weather because most of the state is really windy most of the time.

      It rode well, but no character and like you say, a bit Chinese looking some how. I would love a Sportster but not the mpg 😂🙏
