I just moved to Florida, and I have been enjoying the nature trails in Cyprus creek preserve near Lutz Fl. I’m from Michigan and I love the outdoors. And as a follower of Christ and one believes in the God who created in 6 days and rested in the 7th, I love marveling at what he has made. It brings me peace. Now, being from Michigan, I know what coyotes look like and what I saw was not a coyote. Today, November 21st, 2023, Tuesday; around 9am I started walking the trial. And as I was going to make a phone call, I felt as though something told me just walk and pay attention. So I did, and as I looked down the trail I notice something pop out onto the trail. At first because of how tall it stood, I thought it was a deer but instantly knew it wasn’t because of it being pitch black. It moved like a coyote, but was much larger. It was trotting down the trail with its nose down and then it stopped, looked up and spotted me. It stood there for a minute, and then jumped into the brush and took off.
I thought to my self, are there wolves in Florida? So I pulled out my phone annd sure enough the first things that pops up is “black wolf of Florida”. though some say they are gone. The Black wolf of Florida is still around. Because I in fact seen one. In a short period after spotting the wolf and walking past where I spotted it, a older gentleman came down the path and I tried to tell him what I seen and how I even looked it up and how there in fact have been wolves here in Florida known as the Black wolf. But he laughed at me and said… “ I’ve been here 75 years and never seen one” so I just smiled and said “ just because you haven’t seen one doesn’t mean they are not out there”..
you know, this is the same attitude that many have towards Christ and the testimony of his resurrection. He in fact lived, and he most certainly was crucified, and put in a tomb. He also rose from the dead just as he promised he would in order to fulfill the scriptures and make sacrifice for sin so that if we would humble our selves before him, trust him and follow him; we will as he promises; receive through him the forgiveness of sins and eternal as a free gift for simply trusting him. Many laugh at the testimony of Christ, and they say “ I didn’t see it” to that I would say with love in my heart and a smile on my face “just because you didn’t see it, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen”
Sorry for writing a short paper 😂 but every thing I wrote here today is facts.
today, even when all the “experts” say something is gone.. not always, but sometimes come to find out they were actually wrong.
Jesus is alive! And I’m pretty sure the Black wolf of Florida is as well!

Something else: I think there is a possibility the black wolf is related to red wolves, as they shared historic habitat. It’s also possible the melanistic gene became dominant in regions like Florida.

People should remember though-there are melanistic coyotes and coydogs! It would be great if the black wolf was still present in Fl.
