Thanks brother Angel. I appreciate your kind words. I m sorry for the late reply it’s been really busy lately. This is a beast of a smoker and it’s gonna produce some beautiful bbq for you and your family brother. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for watching and for your support!!!
Thanks brother James I try to give everyone a simple method of explaining how to use a pellet smoker without over complicating it. I try to keep it as simple as possible. Thanks for noticing the new pad too lol. Thanks for watching and for your continuous support. Salute!!!
Great information, Rico! You definitely want to know your hot and cold zones and get that burn off done first! Can't wait to see some cooks, brother!👍🍻
Thanks brother Kevin but the crazy thing your comment ended up in the held for review section along with some other ones too (you know what I am talking bout in the audio section) I appreciate your kind words as always. Thanks for watching and for your support. Salute!!!
Mr. jazz I noticed you did not keep the lid / door open on the start up for the smoke 💨 to disappear . I hear and seen on TH-cam it could explode 🤯! Glad your back ! I got my grandson the lock hart ! He loves it! Thanks
Hey brother Alex I apologized for the late really ts been a long busy week. Yes sir you should always open the lid during the start up process on any pellet smoker then you can close the lid after your see a rolling smoke. Otherwise the combustion can explode and can cause damage to you or anyone close to your smoker. Man the Lockhart is a beast it self and the unit saved me from using more then 1 smoker at a time. Also thank you for your kind words and for your continuous support. Salute!!!
Thanks brother Chris I don't why but your comment was held for review in my spam section so I am sorry for the late reply. Thanks fr your continuous support. Salute!!!
O man you got a beast on your hands there brother. I have the original Austin xl and it the one of the best pellet smoker i have ever used. I was actually thinking of upgrading to the onyx edition but trying to see where can i place it in my backyard lol. Hey brother Austin thanks for watching and for your support! If you have any questions please feel to ask.
The auger dispenses the wood pellets to the fire box for ignition. We hold it to basically feed the pellets thru the first time only. Usually it doesn’t require a 2nd time or priming unless the auger tube gets clogged. Sorry for the delay response i just got back in the country. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for watching!!!
Do you have to hold the auger button to feed the pellets every time you use it? Or once it’s been feed does it just need to be pressed again once the pellets run out?
I’ve had mine for 2 years now and just found out that you are supposed to start it with the lid open and leaving the temp on default (smoke) 180F. Doh!
Awesome!!! You are going to love it i am for sure. When i started pellet smoking i started on my friends treager and i did not like it at all. Then my wife bought me a pit boss and i was hooked ever since. If you ever have any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for watching and for your support. Salute!!!
Well depending on the size of the full packard briskets. If it’s 10 pounds or more i would say no. However you might be able to stack one on top of another with the warming shelf and rotate the briskets as needed. Thanks for watching and for your support. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
out of curiosity, whats your outdoor temp? im in kentucky and its now getting cold, i want to know them temp fluctuations with outdoor weather temps. great video bro. this is my 1st brand new smoker so i want all the info lol thanks again brother!!!!!
Sorry for the late response brother i have been away and just got back in the country. It’s in the 70’s this week in my neck of the woods. The colder the outside temp gets the more fluctuating of the temps will be with opening the lid multiple times, wind, rain and hot or cold weather. You got a beats on your hands so if you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for watching…
Thanks brother Mike sorry for the late reply on this comment but for some reason it was in my spam section for review. I definitely agree with you about spraying before you cook any meats. Sounds like you are a pro already. I appreciate you for watching and for your continuous support. Salute!!!
Hey bro sorry for the late reply. I dd some research first before I answer your question correctly and found out that most pit boss grill product line ups such as the lockhart are only in production for about 4 to 5 years and they come out with a new version. This smoker is a beast so if you see it on clearance grab it bro unless you already have one. Not sure what new version they have to replace this smoker but I am sure its going to be a good one, Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and for your continuous support. Salute!!!
Yes sir unfortunately it’s a pain in the butt holding that darn button for 3 to 5 minutes straight but it’s only when you do the first burn or if you do a deep clean or if you really wanna completely change out the flavor pellets. (Which means you would have to completely vacuum out the entire batch of pellets that you want to change out.) Hope this helps and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Thanks for watching and for your support. Salute!!!
I just primed and seasoned my Pit Boss 850 Pro...and what learned that I noticed that my Auger light came on within 1-3 min of continuous pressing that prime button ..

Why we gotta hold the auger button tho?

Thanks for the tips, I just bought a Pit 850 pro, it was time to retire my burnt out 17 year old Traeger "role top."

Do you think that you could fit two whole briskets in there?
Well depending on the size of the full packard briskets. If it’s 10 pounds or more i would say no. Great burn off info. I spray mine before each cook as well to keep food drippings from sticking to the deflector plate and grates.

So after the initial burn off when u start it normally do u set it on smoke and for how long thanx
You don't have to turn the grill off before you spray your oil ? You don't get no flash fire when you spray with oil in a aerosol can?
You can do it before or during. As long as your not spraying into direct flame it's fine.
Thanks bro! 💪🏾
Did you have the flame broilers open or close? Chur
Appreciate you!
So what color smoke should I wait for again 😂
Hey bro I know you're the guy to get me the answer, why is the Lockhart out of stock, is it being discontinued let me know champ

Mines says L instead of S for smoke
U gotta hold the Prime button for 3-5 min?

Would’ve been nice for no music on an instructional video like this. Was hard to hear you.
You really have to hold the button for 5 minutes?
What about the stickers😂😂

Why every time I watch BBQ video, there is a guy always calling things " bad boy", I guess Freud would have a lot to say about that.
