    Why my micro hdmi not supporting more than 30 fps on 4k... I tried this with both macbook air and windows laptop, whereas on Apple TV it does support 4k at 60Hz.. Not sure what is wrong when we connect it to macbook or windows..

    Thank you so much!! I've been having this problem and I keep having to crawl under my desk to change the HDMI cords!! I don't know why I forgot switches existed and tried to use a USB-C hub.

    my problem has been more with the usbc, not the hdmi side. For both the m7 and m8 models. Like getting a Dex compatible device to stay connected to the monitor via the primary usbc port. IT seems to disconnect randomly, I think it is a power delivery issue. I started using a powered usbc/Thunderbolt4 hub from OWC. Attach the m8 into oneof the available ports of the hub (not the source port of the hub). Attach any other usbc devices or systems. And then the primary usbc port of the hub should be plugged into the primary device you want to use (ex: your laptop or mobile phone for dex (s23u for me)). Pretty much the usbc management on the monitor appears to fail for higher powerdelivery devices. WHen it stop working, the only workaround seems to be a power refresh (unplug and replug the wall adapter). However if you force it to connect through a powered usbc (I think thunderboltt4 compatible is preferred) hub, it seems to address the issue. And I am referring to the original m8 monitor, not hte 2023 refresh (i think m80c)

    If I understand correctly this switches from one thing to another only. That being said is there any way to use two computers side by side on the M8 screen? The multiview is too small for my liking. Thanks!

      If I recall you can do Picture in Picture instead of side by side so that one screen is larger than the other. That’s the best you can do.

      So a HDMI Multi Viewer Switch would be no help either? Thank for your help and prompt replies.

    Will that switch also be able to connect the same keyboard and mouse across computers?

    • @JCTechFinance
      @JCTechFinance  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, no. It will only connect devices to one screen using an hdmi connection. If a mouse and keyboard are connected to a computer that’s connected to the switch and then you switch to another device, the keyboard and mouse wouldn’t transfer over

      Hi. Sorry to hear that. Have you tried connecting it using hdmi to mini hdmi cable as a workaround?

    Thanks for this informative video. Is there a model that will let Dolby Atmos pass through ? Regards

      I think what you’re looking for is an audio extractor. Orei sells those. Go to their website and search for hda-934 as an example. There are others on their website. I haven’t tested them though.

    @JC - Tech & Finance
    JC, first of all. Thanks for the solution; helps a lot. Although connecting multiple devices is not my primary requirement; I have but only two questions.
    1. Does it charge MacBook while being connected via any wire like USB-c or hdmi?
    2. Does the monitor or MacBook when connected to the m8 monitor -- gives any static electricity? As you know since Apple stopped giving three pin/prong adapter, there is static electricity issue while charging MacBook despite plugging it into grounded connection. And most importantly, M8 monitor do not come with three pin/prong plug.

      Hi, Glad I could help.
      The switcher does not charge the MacBook while connected. You need to use the usb-c port that’s directly on the M8.
      I have not been shocked when connecting my m2 MacBook but I also use a three pronged surge protector

      Okay... With which one do you use three pronged surge protectors while M8 being connected and charging MacBook?? Monitor or MacBook??

      Try plugging in a usb-c hub that has an hdmi connection. That may work
