@@shadowopsairman1583 The factory oil coolers are technically emissions devices. They're used to get the oil heated up quicker on cold starts. After that, it works as an oil heater, especially with the headers being so close to the fins. It's unnecessary junk that's prone to leaking. Imagine being on a road course and your oil cooler starts leaking. Or imagine being on a road trip and that dumb son of a bitch starts leaking. It's a common failure point especially on the 5th gen Camaros with the LS3. With all due respect to the engineers, it was clearly designed by monkeys and apes.
I have a 1997 SLP SS camaro that has the optional SLP oil cooler. I have built the engine to perform up to 7000 rpm. Would you recommend deleting the oil cooler? I was told that it can restrict oil flow at high rpm, but it was an LS guy that was saying that. My engine is a 5.7 LT4 conversion, and it has a big cam that does its thing at high rpm
What do you do with the holes in the radiator? I have an LV3 in a 2016 Silverado 1500 LT and am considering deleting my cooler lines (was actually surprised to find out I had cooler lines in the first place).
If I put this oil cooler block off can I use a a thermostatic oil cooler sandwich plate for it and will it work the same or no? I’m trying to take my original oil cooler lines off and replace them with 10an but not block them off
trying to find out if this will work on a 2019 chevy 1500 with a 4.3 v6 and if it will what part number do i need also if i need the plug in the block for coolant thanks!!

What about oil capacity? I’d assume you’d be overfilled with the cooler deleted?
Very very minor capacity difference as coolers works by flowing through them
@@Airman.. not on trucks, on trucks it has hoses running about 4 feet each to the radiator.
@@Boostlee2023 on this setup it's about ½ qt
Would it be bad if they are deleted?
@@luiszaragoza5224 not unless you’re towing with it
Deleting a reliability boosting component like that is bizarre
