Tiny Spanish property renovation project

- I bought this Spanish property as a holiday home in 2017.
After initially thinking 🤔 it was fine and needed nothing doing it urgently at least, I ended up moving the bathroom upstairs, taking the stairs out and replacing beams.
So a total renovation with new windows and door by 2022.
Luckily I had a friend who introduced me to a builder friend of his from Jerez, Miguel, and his wife Ani. They stayed the duration in the property working 6 days a week all day to get it up to scratch for me.
It’s gorgeous. Love all the old features and the green door and window frames.

Regonise the property. Opposite house I helped my friend with many years ago. I think hes still got the place. Have fond memories of Castil waking up in the morning and hearing the birds chirping.

Hello, I love what you did in the renovation of your property. It turned out very nice. Could you please share as much as you can on how easy or not it was to hire contractors to come and do the work? As well as the permitting process, and how much should someone be prepared and budget to do a renovation of this type? It would be very helpful for those of us that are dreaming of one day following in your footsteps with a purchase of a small property to upgrade.

I do but they are from Jerez they are friends of a friend so travelled to do mine but now stay in Jerez area.
@@olivegrovesandgrapevinessp7293 That’s a shame as I have zero skill and couldn’t even knock a nail into a piece of wood. I’ll definitely be seeking something walk in ready and furnished but not too expensive. I’ll keep an eye on your channels and try and get over during my summer leave. That lovely reserved property with that beautiful furniture and a little outdoor space would have been perfect along with the price.
Hope you can find some properties of similar standard and around a similar price bracket.
there are always other builders around of course. yea that property was a lovely one, lets hope we get something else similar. Keep an eye on things and of course give me a shout if you see anything suitable for you.

Yea it is inland … almost two hours inland of Malaga

Hi it cost around 13000 for labour and fittings
It took 7 weeks
