Really, this is so awesome. This honestly needs to become the industry standard for quality and functionality. The most exciting part is that Fluid is only going to get better from here on out!
@@rushdesigns personally I have had issues with the double tapping not always working for me on my Q3. I do think a simple gesture that keeps you in the application but complete passthrough would be great to have even universal as part of the OS. Like a Minority Report full swipe when Tom Cruise shuffles the clues off the screen in that one scene.
Looks good. Appreciate all the work you’re putting into it. Video is sometimes hard to watch though, with your head bobbing all over the place. 😉 Looking forward to release.
Sorry about that! We're working on better ways of recording from a 3rd person perspective. Probably will record a shorter, tighter version of this as well for the onboarding tutorial video.
Looks cool, though being able to create pre-determined area's like a TV and be able to snap windows to it would be a nice feature, that could then be expanded uppon by being able to use AI to detect recomended spaces to then become snappable in the real world
It's very similar the the spatial app the looks like vision pro, this is great qre u bale to add widgets like timers, clock and stop watch calender maybe some quick notes that's stores in the app. Does the spaces part work on mixed reality ?
@@muzzuhumble7871 ill def try out out again hoping they bring widgets to fluid as suggested above but also spatial seems ti be alot higher resolution compared to fluid windows and content displayed
Spatial app is lower resolution than our windows. They don't optimize the rendering stack the way we do and instead just crank the eye buffer resolution way up. Try Fluid in VR mode to see the full result.
@fluidspatial let me try it out tomorrow thanks i tried fluid about 6 months ago, I mostly require it within MR to use while I'm doing activities to compliment my work flow I found spatial app to really assist me here . Let me try fluid I will give u feedback thanks for the work on the app
Chrome Remote Desktop (remotedesktop.google.com) is a free option that works with Fluid. Just a heads up though, you'll need to navigate to that url in a normal browser window. If you save it as an app right now keyboard doesn't work. We're going to fix that very soon.
Hi, thank you very much for the great updates, one question: for some time (I don't know how long) there is a white line on the floor. About 1 meter long (basically under the office chair)? What could it be, it is only visible with Fluid?
Essentially a way so we can create a session outside the quest and continue it inside. Perhaps a chome extension or a desktop version of fluid if that makes sense.
could you include a good option for streaming your device as well, be it mobile phone(android, apple), linux, windows, mac as it feels like this is something virtual desktop and immersive are failing on they focus on a single aspect but sometimes you wanna see a quick view of your phones notifications similar to scrcpy without taking off the headset or check your work monitoring tools. I don't mean controlling either I would be happy with remote view only lol cause remote desktop functions are hard to target all devices
I've always heard that you need to be very careful about quest 3s being hit by sunlight due to potential sensor damage, but I regularly see people using them in the sun in vids. Anyone have any idea if i had just heard wrong?
You need to be careful of the *internal* lenses being hit by direct sunlight, which can burn the screens inside the headset. The outer sensors are generally fine. Fun fact: Ka'i (another dev on our founding team) was the first person in the world to burn a VR headset with sunlight. Oculus discovered it was an issue from him.
you should add a way to make websites their mobile/tablet version, so youtube can have it's tablet interface, for example, so that works better when in a TV type virtual screen, or optimized for tactile interaction! and I guess other websites have both versions too :D
I appreciate your innovation and great work. You rock🔥 Just I let you know some web pages offering built-in video players don't show the video contents displaying errors while the same pages work fine with meta browser.
The other reviews mention that Fluid could be used with a virtual machine / pc. Also ...any ideas to make your own headset ...like the bugs reen vr etc? It would be the ultimate to have a Fluid pair of VR goggles that can access a Fluid subscription Virtual machine account. That way the laptop could be made redundant!
open remotedesktop.google.com in a normal browser window (not as an app, that's bugged for now) and you can. We're discussing how to make cloud PCs a thing too.
Our environments are a combination of 3D models and high-res 3D photos with the 3D effect turned way down. (tech isn't quite there yet for a good 3D effect.)
Check the "getting-started" channel in our Discord server (discord.fluid.so) for instructions on how to join the beta tester program. Then there will be instructions on how to install the beta version.

Fluid has come such a long way! Keep it up
Thanks! Will do.
I see a fellow Hermitcraft enjoyer! The enderman teleporting sounds make so much sense now.
This looks really good. Can't wait for the update.
Excellent job - the single app driving me to buy the quest 3 , for work productivity
A quick hand gesture that enables passthrough and hides all the windows would be cool. (Unless that's already a thing)
Not yet, but we'll experiment with that!
gesture could be a force push or force choke style. :P
why not use the system wide double tap on the headset?
@@rushdesigns personally I have had issues with the double tapping not always working for me on my Q3. I do think a simple gesture that keeps you in the application but complete passthrough would be great to have even universal as part of the OS.

yes yes yes...
Thank you! Your ambient is super cool btw
Thanks!
I believe this is the best facial app there is!
Please add curved screens also.❤

We're thinking similar things! :)
When is this new version going to become available in the UK. I’ve got the old version running at the moment
You can join the beta right now if you want to try it (a few bugs left.) Instructions in the Discord. Otherwise later this week.

Spatial is a direct copy of AVP but Fluid has tons of other features that are actually useful irl :)

Hey, just figured out how to get Chrome Remote Desktop to pretty much fully work: th-cam.com/video/t-F3GNkN1K8/w-d-xo.html
@@fluidspatial Sweet! Thank You!!!
This app is convincing me to buy a VR headset.
If i want can i change a old app menu that looks like Apple vison pro?
random recommendation, make the tab text rounded to match with the roundness of the other elements
Can you elaborate what you mean by "tab text" not being rounded?
@@fluidspatial the tab title at and the search bar font
Is there ad blocking?
Not at the moment, but we are working on extensions integration which would let you use whatever extensions you want.
How would you compare this to Immersed?
Immersed requires a PC to work. Fluid runs 100% on your headset.
The bamfp sound effect for teleporting is a little annoying to me. Is there a way to turn that off?
That's just temporary. Will be changing soon and we'll have an audio section of settings where you can turn various sounds off.
@@fluidspatial sounds good, it was just jarring in the video. Great app, looking to try and review.
Hi, thank you very much for the great updates, one question: for some time (I don't know how long) there is a white line on the floor. About 1 meter long (basically under the office chair)? What could it be, it is only visible with Fluid?
Just an artifact of something. We'll fix it.
@@fluidspatial danke für die schnelle antwort, so muss das sein ... sehr gut, respekt nice 😀
Looks great when dose the update come out for everyone?😊
Give us a week or so to clean up some bugs. If you want to get on the beta you can right now. Instructions are in our discord (discord.fluid.so)
Great job!!!
Any chance to control this from android so I can do stuffs outside vr and return to them when I get back to vr and vice versa?
Not quite on the roadmap. What kind of things would you want to do?
Essentially a way so we can create a session outside the quest and continue it inside. Perhaps a chome extension or a desktop version of fluid if that makes sense.
Discord links not working 😬
New to quest and Yet to try your app but I have it ready and will deff get on it later.
Great work
I like the interface. Can it only launch browser based apps?
For now. Meta doesn’t let us open other 2D Android apps. We’re discussing partnering with other platforms who may let us do that.
I have been trying to make games and stuff for VR and I was wondering what you used to make this if that’s ok.
Fluid is quite complicated. We use Unity, but write A LOT of lower-level code that Unity calls.
the deck ui can be improved, great job
How add own room and own skybox copied on goggle or other browser?
Skyboxes aren’t shared (yet). Working on it.
The skybox thing is great! Will you add a mode where we can have a video instead of a picture ?
Maybe at some point in the future.

Can we open files as pdf, png, docx, cbr, etc (without google drive) directly in the near future?
Yep! Coming soon.

That exists in the app! :) Just exit fullscreen and use the menu mutton at top right. You can switch to mobile version there.
Interesting!
But does the video player support the display of ‘3D SBS FULL’ content?
🤞
We don’t yet support 3D video formats.

Is this for Quest 2 and 3 ?
Yep, and also for Quest Pro and future Quest headsets... 😉
Looking great, does your brwoser support 8K TH-cam and 1080p Netflix?
Yes, you can play 8K TH-cam videos in Fluid. Netflix blocks most indie browsers at the moment. We're working on workarounds to support it.

Haha, no. As for SteamVR, not in the short term, but it is something we're interested in exploring.
