Thank you for adding something I suggested in the past, being able to place the screen on walls. I own wireless and wired AR glasses and love having the ability to watch TH-cam videos as it follows my head movements. With these glasses, I can make videos transparent, being able to see what is happening from outside of the MR space. It's great for doing chores around the house. I hope this next suggestion goes through as well! Again, I love the work that you and the team have put into this project.
Hi Fluid team, first up, I really love using your app. If I would have two wishes free, I would love to have a fixed grid that I can sort the Windows like normal screens, three in a row with fixed sizes and a fixed grid, that it locks really accurate. Would be nice to activate or deactivate it like I want. Next thin is that I would leave to have curved screens. In a way like in the immersed app which is only usable by connecting to a PC, but they die really well with this two points I mentioned. What do you think, are you planning stuff like this is that possible?
@@fluidspatialreally happy to hear that, thank you. I thought about a grid like in PowerPoint, that you can arrange them and make it the same size and so on :) looking forward to it 😊
i would love to have this "on device" in a offline mode but much of computing requires the internet or wifi could you include a mode where i could launch and install local android apps in multi windows something like "DEX" that would be a game changer for me
We love Dex too! Such an underrated feature of Samsung devices. Unfortunately we're not allowed to manage other apps on Quest and it won't change unless Meta opens up their OS a little bit for us. We're in talks with HMD makers to let us do that on those platforms. We are looking into how we could make web apps work offline, and all of our 1st party "apps" work offline. We could make more of those kinds of things available for offline use, such as a 1st party text editor, etc. Currently if you have TH-cam Premium you can use it offline if you download videos to it and keep it open before going offline.
I really appreciated having a maneuverable floating box with the ease of access it had. Is there a chance you'll be reimplementing that into a future update? As of right now, the split passthrough ruins a bit of the immersion IMO. Great app overall though, thank you for your constant creativity!
We're working on an improved version of the movable passthrough window. Glad to year that you found it easy to use, but a lot of other people were having trouble figuring out how to work with it properly. The reality blending feature is much easier to use since it doesn't require manual positioning. Did you know you can change it's size and shape in the Settings app? Maybe you can adjust it so it's not affecting your immersion as much in the meantime?
@@fluidspatial Personally, I use the full passthrough more than anything. Having the floating passthrough box helped specifically while on-board a plane, being able to place the box solely over the keyboard and not see the legs of my seat neighbour lol. Definitely understand the idea can be a bit complicated for newer users though, so I'm very excited to see what your improved version will look like! And seriously, keep up all the amazing work you're doing! Spatial computing in any way can be overwhelming to the new user, but it's important to maintain the fact that some complicated features will in time need to be normalized for the overall ease of access. YOU open peoples eyes to all the new possibilities that can come from these headsets and their capabilities. So thank you
Hey Fluid team, is it possible to to customise the apps in the dock? I don't use most of them or have a need to have so many, if anything I'd like to declutter it. I'd like to to able place my most frequently used apps instead. Thanks from the UK. Nice mention of Daily Dose btw, a great channel 😅
I really love the app, but i was wondering if there's something i need to do to get the browser as crisp as the meta browser. and also I'd love to be able to tone down the brightness of the lights (in environments) when i work at night.. :) Those two happens and i'm in heaven !!!! lol
Hey! Our browser's image quality is best in immersive mode (e.g. not full passthrough). We have some changes coming up which should improve visuals too. As for lights, we have been talking about this internally and will be working on some nice ways users can adjust the lighting without just dimming everything.
Every time I've tried fluid. It has not clicked with me. Watching all these videos makes it look so fluid, but to me, it's a steep learning curve. There has got to be a more intuitive way to do "spatial computing". To me, fluid is simply too logical.
We’ve been continuously smoothing it out and making it simpler and easier to use. The app being intuitive is a huge priority for us that we will keep pushing on. The number one thing is you have to try it with keyboard and mouse. It’s meant to be used that way.
thanks john, but the two sliders at the bottom (brighter/darker and louder/quieter) still don't work properly. When you tap the louder/quieter control, the volume goes to 100%? Greetings and thanks again for your great work
A quick question; is there a workaround for making Netflix work? I live in Ontario Canada, so I'm almost assuming the webpage is meant for american netflix, but I have no way to confirm. every time I try to load a show or movie, it pops up with error code e100 which I believe means the browser is outdated? Amazing app, amazing creators and thank you so much again for this beauty of an app!
Netflix block almost all browsers except specific (new) versions of Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. They require a DRM key that is on top of normal DRM (which we support) and you have to work directly with them to get one. We're not yet able to get one from them, but we're working on it.
Congrats for the developmens! Regarding keyboard tracking for the Quest2 , any idea when will it be implemented? Passtrough is a no go since quest 2 users see all in B&W😢
Hey John!! So I’ve been looking everywhere, and was wondering can Fluid play 360 or VR videos? I’m trying to watch VR videos with someone else and it’s not something I’m finding. Please help

This is amazing, I love how the mouse pointer can just traverse the windows like that .. cool
Love this app will be useful for teaching people things by casting my screen.
You’re my new goat
TY
Nice job 👍👍
Looks really good. I may give it a try. Two questions: Does it have any paid feature? Will you support the new Meta Avatars for that multi-player?
We have some paid premium environments, but that's all for now.
Make it more intuitive, I’ll use this as my screen for work

Start dragging them and the + button becomes an X. Drop it there and it deletes it.

Don't give up on us!
Would it be worth it or not worth the code to make a jukebox or a radio to play Spotify or any other music streaming app?
We're starting to add in APIs that will let anyone make "apps" for Fluid and that idea would be possible through that system.

We haven't yet implemented events to adjust the slider position if you use the buttons.
@@fluidspatial Thanks for the info. But if the sliders aren't working yet, wouldn't it be better to leave them off until they work properly? ✌
... "to leave them out"
Can you open remote sessions to windows?
The OS? Yes

Not yet. Those are on the horizon, but we haven't been able to tackle them yet.
