We got a 8630 with a rebuild 8650 engine in it, I keep it really nice and I like seeing videos of other people having the same appreciation for these machines as I do.
Shouldn't have rebuilt it , Deere had a 50 series replacement program, or do a kinze repower , was the best option, use the old engine on an irrigation pump or a generator where it could loaf and not get stressed .

I spent many thousands of hours in one, I enjoyed every minute of the time. It was a very pleasant tractor to drive.
I remember as a kid in the early 80's riding and eventually getting to drive an 8630! what a beast of a tractor then!nice work on the project!
Very well worth restoring, hope it serves you well for another 40 years.

did you notice the tire rim size? not 38. 32? 34?
Iam sure it coast a few thousand to rebuild, but that isn’t many laptop vist on new stuff
