    Dads had 7 John Deere 4wd between 7520 and 8870 and I can tell you the sales man that sold a 7520 and months later the 30 series came out should have laid low for a while till farmers cooled down. Was the biggest change in tractor comfort ever in my life. He was so proud of his 8630 and the little light that light up the cab interior at night. I know cause I drove the 7520 lol

    • @bigtractorpower
      @bigtractorpower  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That is a marker arm. It draws a line in the soil. The tractor has a silver sight on the hood and the operator lined the sight up with the line and follows it back across the field to keep a straight line. These markers are not used as often today as many tractors use gps to auto guide the machinery.

    Great video. I'm still curious why they went to such a small window in the 40 and 50 series compared to the earlier 30 series large window by the foot controls. I suspect that it had to do with broken glass from debris off of the front tires but I've never read anything about it. Normally window size increases with newer models of tractors.
