- How to work with the greek god Hermes in deity work is nothing short of an amazing time! From my research and going out and talking to other witches who work with him in their deity work, they have all stated that he is one of the good deities for beginners. Hermes is also a god that loves to help in witchcraft. Witchcraft for beginners is always tough, but with the witchcraft tips I have around and the help Hermes is willing to give, you will notice an increase in both energies and positivity surrounding you. Today we go over Hermes signs, Hermes offerings, Hermes Mythology, and even how to make the Greek God Hermes an altar. Warning to cat owners, the pollen from lilies is highly deadly to cats! If you're working with Hermes and own cats, please avoid offering him real lilies inside your home or anywhere where your cat may potentially be.
What cats have to do with hermes? Hermes is a god messenger one who travels between dimensions he is the god of creativity, trade, he who makes company the souls when the departure to the underworld and many many more but he is not a cat owner and he has nothing to do with cats.
If you want to add some planetary correspondences I highly recommend: Rainbow or holographic fabric for the base of the altar. I would also include rainbow candles like the birthday kind. Mood rings because they carry the sacred metal of mercury. Cutie tangerines and blueberry muffins. Full moon and new moon water in virgo. And I would also have the caduceus. And if you want to put snakes on the altar that would also work. If you can't have an altar set up. I would leave an offering at a four way crossroads. Be well and thanks for your information.
Hermes has been pretty straight forward when reaching out to me... He had never been that direct before. I love him dearly.

I would like to challenge the belief that he is not a God of medicine, he is the God followed in hermetic alchemy and mysticism which laid the foundation for chemistry, modern medicine, herbalism, etc. So he may not be the God of medicine but I do believe he is a God of medicine and his staff is used purposefully all over the world in this way
actually that's a misconception what is used to semblance medicine is called The Staff of Aesculapius, Heremes carries a caduceus

@@TheLunarWitch no personal connection during my service, but we always honoured him in the field with offerings of coffee, tea and some part of our meal. Werk. Hermes is my patron and a lot of stuff he does like I can confirm from my own upg. He wants his own altar cause he shares it with my ancestors and another deity so it is cluttered but until that's an option for me to do that he has to share unfortunately but I do try to keep the altar as clean as possible. My Hermes altar is like 90% various turtle statues that I find when I travel I like to think of it as a two in one offering (turtles because of the imagery and buying said turtle on a trip) I want to say the alter is up to 8 various turtles. My favorite being a Striped Agate / Sunstone carved turtle purchased a state over during a ren faire.
Everytime I go thrifting and see a small turtle statue I just have to get it for his altar.
I knew he was calling my attention when, in three separate meditation sessions, I saw his caduceus, the astrological sign for Mercury, and then his winged sandals. I came to this channel right away to see if we had a video on how to work with Hermes - I wasn't disappointed! hahaha Thanks for this!
I'm new to your channel and have enjoyed a handful of your videos so far. Hermes was the first deity to reach out to me. He asked me for an offering of oranges and rosemary recently, but with the precise instructions to dry the oranges first and then to tie the rosemary to them and hang them like ornaments (on his side of my altar). Fruit flies seem to like the paint I used for my altar table and they have been all over Aphrodite's side and avoided Hermes' side. So I asked what I could do... I now scatter or keep bundles of pungent herbs such as the lavender (which I have now) along my altar areas to ward off any flies. Hermes seems to know a lot lol. I am about to make a peppermint wash to use for my altar specifically...I might make a lavender one too --flies tend to avoid those pungent herbs such as rosemary, basil, peppermint, lavender, to name a few. Both Hermes and Aphrodite seem to enjoy the rosemary, peppermint, and lavender herbs (those are the two who share an altar...Apollo and Artemis share the other one which has a stone top and the flies don't o near that.)

In a dream I was waiting on a train and instead of the train this bright yellow flash came and I saw somebody in the flash and i just felt this immense energy and instantly woke up. I cant say 100% it was hermes but man what an energy that was!

They once put my head on a historic statue of Hermis, made it myself. Owner of the buildings name is nearly Apollo, and the building almost like his temple complex, but juxtaposition of things. I did rase the whole Buffalo Bills team up a down escalator shortly after this, and it looks as though the gods original may of fallen while I was a guest in D.C. fir an art show, even visited Hermis dome there in the national gallery, and went on top the postal tower. The statue I fixed also stairs at a postal tower, and I myself may be getting a post office to open in my complex. Lot more to what I've seen magic do, and I didn't even really touch on magic yet. Was given instructions on how to use it by what i call the angel of smoke, or Tom. fear magic a bit recently, but as odd as it sounds, after I failed to save that cat from the mouth of that pit bull, and may car blew up after, the magic Tylor swift set me up for has expired, I should think. I was playing with magic trees, then she rolled on in and fixed my car, should have known better.

I think covering the reasons to work with a deity would be beneficial to future videos. There is a lot here for correspondences, items, totems, but not really what the purpose of interaction would be. Note, I am taking into consideration the fact that much of the information was gathered second hand.

Pan is the son of hermes. He can be very dark but it seems the darker deities also have the most power in the lower realms(our realm)

Please reference classical sources where he is known as trickster. Hermes son of the king of the Olympians and the Pleyadian Maia was born to be extremely clever. As a “baby” able to get cattle that happens to be from his half brother Apollo, and erase his traces, establishes sacrifice to the Olympians and returns to his cradle. This is very different to trick humans for the sake of self entertainment.
Also, Hermes is the only God that has access to all realms, including death and he also has a role as psychopompus. In many stories he helps humans in many ways, he frees goddess Io (turned a heifer at that moment) from Argos, Hera’s all seeing guardian. Slays him and escorts Io out of Greece while she continues her journey to finally arrive in Egypt when she is restored to her original form.

The most gaping example of Hermes trying to talk to me. Just something I thought about. It does make sense to me. And I think he left it where I am basically guaranteed to see it as I devour such stuff!
I went for a nap on Sunday some reason my energy was low… so a few minutes having my eye closes I saw a tall man with bright and wearing gold he had a two wings on the side I couldn’t see his face though it was fuzzy. He didn’t say anything to me but it felt positive, I’m psychic empath and tend to get visions in dreams or if I close my eyes for a few. I don’t know what it means to see Hermes but if anyone knows please give me guidance.

Well it’s all about deviation from the baseline. If you usually forget things, forgetting a thing or two isn’t a sign, but if you’re forgetting things even more than normal that might be a sign. Similarly, if you’re repeatedly having dreams about deities more than normal it could be a sign- especially if it’s just one deity who’s appearing a lot.
Frankincense is widely available. It's my favourite incense stick, it's a rich and sweet smell 💖💖

@@sixsix911 when I started working with him six years ago I’ve read that his colour was purple and a flower that represented him was lavender, so it made sense to me to use purple candles for him. He’s an amazing deity to work with. He’s been the most generous god I’ve ever had the pleasure to be around, so I’m guessing he’s okay with it
Hermes is one of my four deities and I've been seeing his Caduceus everywhere as of late.

fireflies....any diety have fireflies. i have never seen one in my 37 years of life and this summer, 4 times they made themselves quite known to me, even the point of flying right into my face......thoughts. also i have dream premonitions as long as i can remember. and arts, music, poetry and animals are my life. legit. im a rat breeder, and my first child is named Melody for my love of music. my daughter other daughter is Rowan for the tree of power. my father apprently also had powers that he could manifest into reality and my mother claims he could make light blubs explode in the sockets.

Is wearing a cross blocking deities kinda like if the cross is somthing like chains keeping your power in, or it has no power?
Ehhhhhhhh its a hit or miss. Also depends on your beliefs. If you plan on worshipping deities, I wouldnt exactly wear the cross. For example I wear Anubis' Ankh because he is my patron deity, but it doesnt interfere with me working with other deities. The christian cross would mainly keep you working with the christian god and angels that deal with christianity.
Well, both my partner and I have ADHD so I don't think things being misplaced is a very good divine sign. Lol

First of all, Hermes is not greek god, greeks stealing it from the much older culture. His real name is Hermes Trismegistus and this is a title as IsUs (Jesus) he is also called Thoth Atlant, the Egyptians gave him god's grace. He is the only proven living person that was worshipped as a god, god Thoth, from the Egyptians. He was living on the land that is today's Bulgaria, he is not a Greek as he was living back in 8000 b.c. at the coast of today's Black Sea. Greeks came far later from North Africa. You can see his esoteric knowledge into the ancient Varna Culture, few thousand years later in Sumer and Egypt
Most witches and folks working in the occupt prefer to not work woth hermes. Mainly because hermes was/is a being of high morality and purpose.
