- How to work with Aphrodite in deity work is actually a little challenging. Goddess Aphrodite, or as some know her as Goddess Venus, is a very picky deity to work with. Aphrodite requires a lot of attention and maintaining her altar within your witchcraft and deity work. Deity work for the beginner witch is always a little challenging especially when you dont know how to start, but this video will go over offerings for Aphrodite, some dos and donts, how to start an altar, and Aphrodite Mythology. The Greek Goddess Aphrodite is the Goddess of love and beauty and despite what some may say, she is an awesome deity to have around when working with deities. And deities for beginners can be hard but I will explain in this video in depth as to how to work with her and leave some links below so that you can have as much info as possible when going into your deity work with Aphrodite. I hope this video is helpful to any witch who sees, and for those Pagan witches who may have gotten the call this video is for you as well! Besides rose quartz, I also keep lapis lazuli on her altar because it's very connected to the ocean and beauty. The properties of this stone are also incredible, would recommend it to anyone :>
Ive been working with Aphrodite for over 10 years, a tip from my experience with her is let her put anything she likes/or the things you gave her wherever she wants them in your room. My room is her room. She loves to help making a room feel more feminine and open. Let her help. She loves this!

I absolutely adore working with Aphrodite, she's got that "older sister who wants to help" energy about her that I need and love. I feel like we're close friends, I like going on hikes up to the top of this mountain by my house where I leave her offerings and the whole time she's with me giving me counsel and confidence. I first felt her when I wasn’t feeling confident in a photo shoot, I pictured myself in her temple and asked for her help and almost immediately, something changed where I could complete it without questioning myself
I worship Aphrodite and im really amazed how generous she is to her worshippers. She is loving, caring, warm and very protective. Alongside her i worship Eros, Priapos and Apollon as well. ❤
I tried offering her rose gold, sea salt, and rose petals. Later a hare ran past me and a dove landed right on me. I’m a beginner so if you guys have any tips I’m open to listen

My question is, if you offer her make up or perfume, you cannot use that for a certain among of time, or just never ever?

@@Agape122 You can't really use them, as they are offered or given to Her. I think you could change them over time, by replacing them with new ones. But the best thing to do would be to speak to the Goddess, see if changing them or removing them feels right. I'm alwasy iffy about makeup, so I mainly offer non-perishables, such as crystals, shells, and mainly incense. I offer an apple every now and then, but by the next day or so I usually leave it outside, back in nature for the wildlife to disseminate.
Ive been working with Aphrodite for 9-10 years sometimes more times less intense. She is one if my maine deitys. Aphrodite is for me like a mother. She protected me, she leads me if i let her. She never imposes herself. She is never angry with me or impatient whether how long I need to understand what she wants to say to me. Aphrodite set me strong and free like herself. My Tip is: If you want to work with her, let her come into your life. Make your home beautiful, take Flowes (Roses) an candels into your Room and let her work. But she is definitely NOT a Barbie-deity. Sorry for my english. I haven't used it in a long time.

I stat working with her just with a question. I ask for her help to love myself and she did! In the next morning was a Pigeon feather inside of my Bedroom in front of my bed. It must be come in to the open window. From then on I knew she was there. Pay attention to the small signs in everyday life.

hello i have a question i’ve been thinking of working with aphrodite for like 2-3 years but as a baby witch i’m a little scared for exemple what if i make her upset or what if one day i don’t want to work with her anymore? what will happen?
I work with Aphrodite. I found a very creative way to set up her altar. White candles are good candles for her too, when they glow yellow it reminds me of the sun. Her altar is ocean-themed. Still working on her altar, but so far, so good.☺️
Aphrodite wanted a love themed altar in my room, for some reason! I have divorced parents and one of my two altars is really pink and red, and the other one is summer themed. Gotta give the gal what she wants lol.

You can put your own makeup products on Aphrodite’s alter and ask her to charge it. You can do that with jewellery too. Also you can buy chocolates, wine, cakes etc for you to share with her during your time with her just make it known to Goddess Aphrodite that it’s to share with her while you communicate. You can also create oils, bath salts, perfumes etc that you can ask her to charge with her loving energy and then use these beauty products when you cleanse your body before going to spend time with her. This is all acceptable. Just be sure to give more to her than you take and always bring her gifts and adoration when you are asking her to charge items for you.

I love working with Aphrodite. I spray perfume on her altar, leave pretty crystals and have a mason jar of seashells. I also have a salt lamp next to her because the lighting is very soft which I think she appreciates. Great video and thank you for the tips!
I just started working with her and I love it so far, but I was wondering if I leave a necklace or any other kind of jewerly on her altar, is it forever hers or will she not be dissappointed if I respectfully ask to wear it and then bring it back to her?

@@ivanakochova4553 I personally sometimes wear the jewelry I leave on her alter, I would just recommend cleansing it before putting it back on her alter and just make sure not to lose it or anything :)

I started working with Aphrodite since I was in 8th grade and I gave her lots of offerings such as rose quartz, roses, pink candles, makeup products, sea glass and shells, and also jewelry. And then for Christmas/Yule in 2022 I got her a statue of her and then my mom kicked me out of the house in August 2023 and refused to give me the things I offered to Aphrodite even though I wanted to keep worshipping her while I was gonna live with my dad so I have to re buy everything but I remember while I was living with my mom she took a lot of Aphrodite’s offerings without permission and I could tell it pissed Aphrodite off but I prayed and prayed to her to not do anything to my mom and i can’t tell if she got her revenge because my mom cut me off but I just found out she lost her job… oh well don’t take her offerings 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
I’ve just started working with her and refused to set up her alter until I found her a statue 😂 found one in greece, and she’s now on a shelf surrounded with shells, crystals and pink salt with some pretty jewellery in it. It’s like I knew!
Same thing happened to me, I couldn't set it up until I found the perfect statue.

They both vibe well with me and share time with me though I spend a lot more with Aphrodite. I have statues of her and a portrait above my sofa at home. She's wonderful.

How do you know it was her?
I’m extremely drawn to Aphrodite for a lot of reasons such as needing self love and femininity in my life, I decided to use some things I thought she would like and take a bath, I picked out a rose bath bomb and later I felt something in the water and thought one of my crystals somehow fell in, I reached for it and I turns out it was a tiny pink plastic ocean animal, I had no idea anything was inside of these let alone a water animal I’m taking it as a sign to keep attempting to work with her and research about her. She is like a sister and a friend. She's like a 'you can sit at the table with me' kind of cheerleader woman for me.
I just started working with her because she reached out to me, and so far she has been very nice and gentle with me (because I am a minor, and I reminded her that). I've had a lot of problems with mental health recently so I am glad to be working with her. I already have a sort of make-shift altar, and I have had a statue of her for months, Rose quartz, and a lot of shells. I find it funny because I already had all the things you suggested to put on her altar already so that was easy. I've been feeling so much calmer recently, and I have just been feeling good about myself, and I bet it's because of her. I gave her an apple candle, and she got really excited when I asked if she wanted it.

Some pagans choose to work with deities by opening themselves to embodying characteristics of a deity archetype. Channeling a love goddess archetype may be seen as "becoming" that goddess, and some priestesses/priests will actually "become" a deity while channeling their energies during ritual. The key to remaining reverent and respectful to a deity while practicing in this way is to KEEP EGO OUT OF IT.
I’ve been working with Aphrodite for maybe less than a year or so; and I really want to get closer to her. I feel like I haven’t been giving her the attention she’s deserved all this time, I have my altar, I have her statues, a bunch of roses, flowers that represent love, pretty things. But I feel like she still needs my attention regardless. I feel like I do resonate with her personality wise, and I feel as though we see eye to eye in that way. I have a little book about different goddesses. I was sitting on my balcony reading about Aphrodite. The book mentioned that her animal is a white dove. I thought to myself, we don't have doves here but we do have pigeons which are kinda similar. Almost immediately a pigeon flies up onto the rail, looks at me, and flies off!!
pidgeons are also known as rock doves, they're in the same family!

There was one time I was soaking in a sea salt bath with red rose petals and lighted some candles...she appeared in the bath and it freaked me out because I was spacing out when I noticed the bathwater changing colours 😅

I’m thinking of working with Aphrodite, I had a dream of being in war and suddenly saw a blue locket with her face on it, and the moment I picked it up I felt this intense sense of love and self worth. I can’t stop thinking of this locket, and I look on Etsy and it’s exactly the same locket for sale. I have always loved the ocean and I’ve been called to it before. I’m still waiting for more signs before truly going for this devotion to her. I’m a novice witch, and mostly do divination at this moment (tarot and pendulum work.)

ive worked with Aphrodite starting the beginning if 2022. got the urge to go thrifting for stuff for her altar soon after, and found a beautiful (and cheap!!) statue of her!! it was almost too perfect, so i totally agree on the part where you said she'll want a statue right away, lol
Aphrodite is my patron goddess! I love her, I see her as a mother figure. My first offering for her was fancy looking lipstick. The day after I offered it to her, I was looking through my mom's makeup, and I found an Aphrodite/Venus pallet! I took it and the colors are very lovely! Lady Aphrodite has also helped me with bullies and giving them karma. She enjoys music too! I play her Lana Del Ray. In my experience copper and pennies are a sign of her too :D
I just recently started working with her and I have my own bathroom (my husband and stepson have their own). I dedicated my entire bathroom to her, I had a strong pull in regards to that! This past weekend I literally scrubbed the entire thing with a bucket, sponge, and toothbrush every corner and inch from shower to floor to beauty counter. Took off the mirror and replaced it with a rounded decorated one, placed picture in there, Rearranged and threw out things that weren’t unkept or pretty too. I can feel that she is pleased but I’m also excited to add decorations of offerings that you listed as well! Thank you!
I thought you couldn’t use the bathroom for an altar but being that I’m getting my bathroom to look better maybe I can set her up in there because my ancestor alter is in the living room and I sometimes work with st expedite which I set him up in the dining area.
I once had a dream of goddess Aphrodite and she's the most beautiful deity I've ever seen. I can't even describe her beauty (look up Asami from the Legend of Korra, it's a small slice of her beauty). She has always treated me with kindness and love and she brings a lot of peace and beauty in my own life (and I thank goddess Aphrodite for blessing me with looking beautiful). 🌺🕊️

Aphrodite is one of my favorite deities. I have an altar for her, not always consistent with offerings, but try to make it as beautiful as possible. Curiously the first thing I bought for her altar was the statue (and I’ve never had read anything about witchcraft by that time).
Im a baby witch and the reason im watching this video is bc one day when i was in history class my teacher mispronounced Aphrodite as Afrodite and i corrected him. Then i felt this random burst of happiness and warmth. Someone told me that her spirit might have praised me but if anyone knows better please tell me

Omfg I've been thinking about working with Aphrodite for awhile, especially since I am a Libra which is supposed to be ruled by Aphrodite and I love the ocean but what really sold me in this video was learning that sparrows are one of her signs! I did not previously know that and I recently picked Sparrow as my preferred name. I just- wow. I guess I'll get a statue then :)
Aphrodite is associated with Taurus. I believe Athena is for Libra.

I’m a Libra, am very called to glamour magick, very much into skin care, cosmetics, forever have been drawn to the ocean/shells…and tho Aphrodite corresponds to Taurus, her Roman counterpart Venus does rule Libra. I have many of my astrological placements in Libra besides my sun. My Venus is also in Libra💗 I have been interested in her for a while and so many things that correspond to her are being brought to the forefront of my mind now as I’m learning. In ancient Hellenistic Astrology, Venus (Aphrodite) does rule Libra (and also Taurus). The Goddess is also the exaltation ruler for Pisces alongside Zeus (Jupiter). The zodiac signs are the "temples" of the seven planetary deities seen by our naked eye according to the ancient cosmology of the Hellenistic Era. Hail Venus!
@jeane In the domicile system Venus rules Taurus & Libra in Hellenic/ Medieval / Vedic astrology (they are nocturnal & diurnal counterparts). And in Hellenic Astrology the meaning of the houses is derived from the Sun’s cycle around the Earth, not from sign association though the planetary joys scheme does give each house a planetary ‘joy’ where Venus has her joy in the fifth house of good fortune and the Moon in the third house of the Goddess
Venus/ Aphrodite is not ‘evil’ either and that is an unhelpful, patriarchal idea planted to create fear around the feminine. All planets & gods are far more nuanced than that hence all of the planets except the sun & moon have domicile in two signs showing both their yin and yang / nocturnal & diurnal expression. Venus represents beauty yes & maybe from a modern materialist worldview you might view that negatively but that’s on you. beauty is far more than that

@@tina4913 in witchcraft you can pray to Achilles, Abnoba (Celtic), Airmid, Amadan to name a few there are so many other deities but of course you must do deep research.
Also putting a salt lamp on her altar is something she really enjoys as well!
I've always hated the sea and I couldn't go in but this season I found myself throwing myself into the sea every chance I get. And just today I felt her calling to me. It makes sense now!!

I been to her birthplace in Cyprus, and since then felt that i need to work with her a lot , never worked with any magic before. But feel like she blessed me there, my love life went amazing for over a year , i give her flowers time to time . But want to go deeper now.

As long as youve stopped listening you will be fine. Practicing witchcraft and meditating will not mess with your religion. Even listening to subliminals wont effect your religion either. But the minute a deity other than your god is mentioned, thats when you start to dabble into paganism and that will start to cross with your religion.
I can't get off her mind and recently we ate scallops and her name just pops up my mind. My family never typically buys them because they're expensive but they bought it ahaha I have a lot of shells now. My room is 90% pink so that's a thing I can maintain with her altar and surroundings. ❤️❤️❤️

I started working with her for some reason from the beginning of my spiritual path before actually start to consider my self as spiritual person, she "come" to my life before even think to work with a deity (as fact I'm a newbie in the craft so i try to understand the signs,the information etc),one of my first offers was a rose that put when i start make her altar three months ago, it's still in pretty good apearance with its colors etc. and when i thought that i could changed it with a new one,the some evening start raining so hard that destroy every single rose at my garden and until today the flower is as that day...

I just started to work with her and started my pagan journey but with me having to stay in the broom closet (I don’t know how my parents will react so I’ll wait to tell them once I can support myself with being a minor). I have a tiny portable altar for her and I feel like she understand that I have to keep this hidden to keep myself safe. She is starting to help me love myself and accept myself for what I look like. I feel like she understands that I can’t offer all the time to keep myself safe. Once I can I will get her a proper altar that will look beautiful.
I found out she was calling out to me when I heard a voice say her picture was on my wall ( I painted a picture of her when I was in high school) also I found a rose quartz bracelet in the ocean, the waves brought it to me❤️

Aphrodite came to me sooo fast 😅 I thought of her and next thing “yeah that’s my diety” and when I was an ignorant brat and decided to “test” if she was real or not she showed me big a Big Bang in my face and still continues to do that for the 1 thing I had asked for 😂😂
I feel closely to her, her energy makes sense to me and I feel like her energy really completes me in a lot of ways, especially my identity as a woman. I’m dedicating basically my whole bedroom to her in my next place with flowers and a very feminine lover look, I even found furniture shaped like shells!

i've worshipped aphrodite all my life but i only started working WITH her not too long ago, im financially lacking and in a nonsupportive household so her altar is my makeup vanity and she has an offering dish and a few candles atm, but i still offer her pearly/sparkly things, coins, etc..specifically i gave her a (probably) fake pearl bracelet recently, and today i visited my parents to get more of my things and they found a bunch of jewelry and there happened to be a pearly bracelet and earrings accompanied by a REAL pearl necklace. she basically said "tysm but you gotta wear some pearls too hun, advertise the brand"🤣👼
I was told that for glamor spells you can ask her to bless your makeup and the brushes before you wear them spray with moon water or blessed rose water that you consecrated on her alter.

when he said medusa's name, the flame of the biggest candle in my altar started shaking 😳
They didnt have a good experience in my household. Medusa interfered with a reading my wife was doing when she was communicating with Aphrodite. It was a very heavy energy that set for awhile until Medusa got turned away finally.

When I meditated I asked to see one of my dieties who want to work with me and I have been asking for more self love and beauty and relationship stuff. Anyways I saw waterfalls and some tall beautiful lady wearing white with long lucious blonde ish hair. I didn’t know who it was but they brought me to someone else. It was a man who looked a little familiar but was of course more masculine and we talked and it was interesting. After I finished meditating I realized I didn’t know who it was. And questioned it. Finally the name Adonis kept coming to mine and I looked it up and realized the two I saw were him and Aphrodite!! For a while I’ve had little things that I do and but that made me realize she’s calling out to me more and might be helping me!! This for sure just answered every question I had! Thank you!

This is very helpful and has confirmed some impressions I have gotten from Aphrodite already (particularly the statue). I do have a question: Does she have a preference of how food offerings should be handled? Should I eat them, bury them, or throw them away afterward?
Throwing them out is more than okay!
Sometimes she loves it when you eat it with her! or indulge with her whilst giving her an offering!
She asked me to eat them after her. And they taste so much better. Somehow.

Wow, it's a lot of advices. I just start to work with her. I make a place for her, give her shells, rose candles and jewelry. I think she likes it. After lighting rose essential oils for her, a dove appeared over my window.
I hope to use this information to become a follower of Aphrodite myself
i’ve been working with Lady Aphrodite for almost a year, and i struggle maintaining her altar and she still works with me and guides me as she knows why i am struggling to maintain her area, same with The Archangel Michael, she went as far as too stop working with another witch i know as she was extremely toxic and she didn’t see her fit to be working with her
I'm also getting my salute from her this week or next but I need a table for her as well

I don't believe in any deities. I'm a secular witch, but there are certain deities that I use for self help, with an almost placebo effect. Baphomet, Ganesha, Anubis, and Bast. But, lately I feel a connection to Aphrodite. I've done a lot of self reflecting on how I view romance and love, and I realized I need to learn to open up to love. I feel she is a perfect representation of that and I want to start using her image to help me get through these struggles. I also have a great love of the ocean. I'm definitely going to buy a statue of her and place it on my altar.
