This engine is so cozy
Cs_damage and de_hankangai were remade by ESCalation for Counter-Strike 1.6 and Condition Zero a while back and they are available for download. They are perfect redemptions of said scrapped maps. De_vessel was remade by Asertywny under the name cs_thinice and it's available for download as well.
Besides, you can tell from the screenshots and footages that most of those cut maps design carried over to the single player missions in CZ Deleted Scenes.
There is also a remake of cs_trailerpark by Cmdr.
@@yellowjello3750 yes, you are right. Forgot about that one because I played it but didn't realize it was taken off the cut maps.
you forgot about DE_silo being also remade by ESCalation
de_hankagai was a laggy map, and some areas in cs_damage too are laggy..... wonder how to fix them....
@@KaTiToYs_81 If you're referring to the ones on GameBanana, those are fan remakes by ESCalation. Are you playing them in CS 1.6 or CZ? They should run a bit better in CZ, though still with not perfectly.
as someone who grew up with 1.6 and CZ, this is so interesting to me, another great video man
in CS Condition Zero Deleted Scenes, 2:06 de_bridge map was from Motorcade Assault mission, 3:45 cs_damage from mission Alamo, 4:56 cs_junglecamp from mission DrugLab, 5:14 cs_miami from mission Miami Heat, 7:53 de_silo from mission Secret War, 8:14 cs_truth from mission Truth in Chaos, 8:26 de_vessel from mission Thin Ice (where i can i find this map for mutliplayer play???),
Finally! I knew many of these were from Deleted Scenes, also many of the classics like cs_assault, cs_office, de_aztec, de_cbble and de_prodigy should have been restyled into campaign missions
cs_miami isn't really a part of cut maps because the map was bundled with the xbox release
also a trivia, cs_truth previous name was cs_toruko which features a beautiful backyard garden with zen garden of sorts with waterfall and small waterflow and it's only available in sp Truth in Chaos mission, not in both multiplayer versions
yes and cs_miami can be also downloaded....

cs_junglecamp is also based on a Deleted Scenes mission DrugLab or something. Same goes for pipeline map.

7:19 de_rubble this is a good map and this was from the unofficial mission in CZ DS named Terrorists Retaliation, this was the only mission where u are a Terrorists against CTs...
I was almost forgetting that this mission existed.
Honestly had it released in 2000/2001 it would have been remembered more fondly it's basically a slight update to 1.5 and 1.6

Actually Desert Bunker does exist, but it's actually different than what was on the screenshot.
I have that desertbunkers but bots there have poor navigation esp the CTs.... they just stay in their spawn area...

Part of me is very sad that most of these maps don't exist. This Counter Strike would've had some memorable maps if a lot of them weren't scrapped

Unrelated but what are your thoughts on the new loadout changes in CS 2 rn? Personally I think they have the potential to mess with and fuck up the CS formula a lot

Yes, you can. As long as you have all the needed files (textures, models, sprites) -- you can run maps from both games in each game.

Most of them, yes. CZ allows for a higher poly count so some maps that are particularly demanding may not work. Some textures also may show up differently in CS 1.6 vs CZ.

ok so i've just noticed MANY of these maps exist & are commonly used in the VR cs clone pavlov. Silo, killhouse, de_quarry. Idk if they were made for Csgo and ported over but yeah, seems like the pavlov community must have some fascination with CZ to me.
