    "Fitter" is exactly the right english word for what you are doing on the installation - but the design and build of this project, particularly the tank support brackets is called "sheer genius" !
    Beautiful job Christian.

    I love all of your videos! My first Land Rover was a new, 1973 L88 3 door with safari roof that I bought in Denver, Colorado USA. Then a 1999 Discovery II, a 2009 Range Rover HSE Sport and now I drive a very civilized 2016 LR4 (disco4) HSE LUX V6 supercharged petrol. I bought it used with 74.800 miles, 1 owner, it looks brand new, for $25.000 US dollars! I am a cleaning freak, just like Christian and adorable Vera! I installed interior Land Rover Rubber Matts, and cleaned the interior with sprays and brushes, compressed air and lots of vacuuming. The interior looks brand new! No scratches. I washed the engine bay with brushes, compressed air, degrease the engine components, and hose it down where water is allowed. Your videos are very instructional and straight to the point, without the extra useless comments found in other videos. My next task is to de-clog the sunroof hoses, because we moved from Utah to Florida where we have torrential rains just about every day. Keep up the great work!

      You sound just like Christian, that is so great. I hope you can have as much fun in Florida as in Utah with your Discovery. Been to both states, but more often to Utah with our Jeeps when we were living in Michgan. 👍🙋‍♀️ Vera

    Fantastic work Christian, a very involved project involving lots of various tools and design, Vera will no doubt have been the main brains behind the operations but too modest to let it be filmed 😉👍. Fabian should be able to get tax relief as his vehicle can also act as a fire fighting vehicle now 😀

    Mr Mechanical Engineer/Designer/Author. Hi, I am mesmerized about the intrinsicacies of your engineering design for a pressurized camping shower. You call yourself a "fitter". Very humble. I don't know your location but I guess you are maybe in Australia. I love your video because that reminds me of my dad. He was an Accountant in Ecuador. He was always reading Popular Mechanics and Reader Digests in Spanish. He had every tool he could use for his mechanical/electrical projects. I see that you have a wife that is supervising your work. I am trying to find a way to make a camping shower also but it will be much simpler in comparison to yours. I am converting my Yukon SUV on an off-road vehicle. Good luck on your endeavors. I am a retired surgeon living in the state of Washington, USA. Jose Ramon

    I would love to hear more on you theory of "do not rotate" when assembling PVC parts with PVC cement?? I was always taught a 1/4 turn to help the glue engage with the parts and help eradicate air bubbles!! Love the M6 allen's holding on the cover half's and the addition of the O ring was about a "German engineering" as it gets . Great project Great result!!

    Another great video thanks but here in Australia there has been a wake up call on roof racks and roof load limits.
    You will find that on the D3/4 that the dynamic load limit is 75kg. That includes the weight of the rack as well as anything else attached. Take care!

    You have really excelled and bonus was you got to use the the fly cutter ,the 3D printed cover made this professional work ...thanks for all the hard work you put in you have me thinking about going to a D3 with all your maintenance /repair video's to help keep one running ,my 21 year old D2 is far less complicated but not as comfortable but I don't worry about scratching it 😃

    • @Vera_and_Christian
      @Vera_and_Christian  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would take a D2 any day. Unfortunately, because of the emission standards in our area, I'll have to wait until the D2 turns 30. Then you can apply for a historical plate and emissions do not matter anymore. That is Germany😥. But we do not worry about scratiching our D3 also. 👍🙋‍♀️ Vera

    EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I have a disco 5 and a Front Runner Rack but I'm either looking to mount it on the side or make a smaller one that would mount inside or like on top of the roof rack towards the rear since I carry a roof tent on top too. It would make it a bit smaller in capacity but I don't really have room for anything else on there once the tent is on. However the shower would off set the awning on the other side though.
