Mr. Brandon Green you are the real MVP of proper drum posture and drum set arrangement. You just saved our lower back. Keep making these videos, thank you very much.

Thank you so much! I’ve been sitting behind another drummers set at rehearsal and just lowered seat and pulled in my hi-hat and thought I was ready to go. But now this is a game changer. I’m in my 50s and don’t want any undue pain.

I just found your channel and can’t thank you enough. I’ve been looking for a video like this for a long time. You got to the point and explained the rationale. I felt more comfortable right away. Please keep it up!

I'm not sure if I missed it, but in my opinion, it is very important to keep the feet aligned with the legs, so that there's no twisting of the ankle. Often, this means that the drummer will not sit facing directly forward, but in the end, the ergos will work better.
(Some guys angle off the bass pedal, but I'm not keen on this as a solution.)

How come the toms aren't set in order small, bigger, biggest?

Thanks for asking! I was going through a phase! Lol. Truth is I had a lot of fun doing left hand lead single rolls out. If I played LRLR. I could hit snare, small Tom, medium Tom, large Tom! It was cool!!

The information is great! There's almost nothing about musical health videos around.

And it’s needed! Lots of drummers sharing tidbits of health advice... hope this information sheds some science on the subject. More to come!

Throw that skeleton where you plan on sitting and switch to manual focus and lock it in. Using a higher F-stop can help too. Thanks for the help. Starting drums at 42 I am definitely appreciating these videos. You are a great speaker and teacher.
