My baby cries like she's seen a nightmare. It's usually around 45-60 minutes after she starts her night sleep. And when wakes up crying, she won't settle down without me holding her and rocking her. Is that a sign of sleep regression?
I already have her on a bed time routine. She tends to snack and only have proper feeds before going to sleep, so I'm also working on stopping the snacking and focusing on proper feeds throughout the day. What else can I do to help her get through this on a day to day basis?

Hi, so sorry for the delay reply? At 4 months this will not be nightmares these normally start around 18 months. This is mostly like just sleep regression. 45-60 minutes is the time she is likely transitioning sleep cycles. It sounds as though you are doing everything right. These sleep regressions do pass within a couple of weeks. Continue to stick to your routine and try not to rock her to sleep - comfort her until she is calm and then place her back in her cot as you would normally do when you are putting her down for sleep. You are doing great Mumma!

So if we started the sleep regression, should I get her off the pacifier?

I would not recommend making any changes during this period. The 4 month sleep regression lasts from 2 - 6 weeks and once your little one settles back to their normal sleep pattern (pre the 4 month sleep regression) this is then the time I would recommend weaning them from their pacifier.
