    Same experience here! this book/method worked like a charm for us with my baby boy! Following the Baby Bootcamp we got him sleeping 10 hours by 10 weeks old and finally reaching the 11 hours of sleep (12 hours without feeding) by 12 weeks old, just like the book promises!
    Still to this day, he's almost 8 months old and we still follow the same schedule (feeding every 4 hours only by day, sleeping 12 hours at night) he knows how to soothe himself back to sleep if he awakes, he wakes up without crying, he takes short naps during the day and overall is a very healthy, happy baby!! with happy, well-slept parents!!
    I HIGHLY recommend this!

    My youngest of three is now 24 years old. This method hs been around for so long and it works! All of my boys slept their age (in months.) For example, NY 5 week old slept 5 hours continuosly. My 6 week old slept 6 hours etc. All of them slept 12 hours at 12 weeks. All of them were very different children and yet it worked universally. Total blessing!

    I had to paused the video and went to Amazon to buy the book. Mi 8 weeks old boy is sleeping through the night but he wakes up every 4 hours for feeding. I hope this book will help us!!! Thanks from a tired mummy 😴

    Good video but that music is distracting since it competes with your quiet voice.

    My baby is 6 weeks Friday and I'm going to order this book and give it a try. He's sleeping around 8 for about 4.5/5 hours, but I want it to go longer!

    I found your review when researching the book :) Glad to hear this is very achievable!! I was wondering what was your napping schedule like when trying to achieve eating every 4 hours? Vs. now that she sleeps through the night? I have twins and one can go 3.5-4 hours and and the other is more like 3-3.5hrs. The books schedule shows activity time before the 11am feeding... I feel like my girls always wake up starving from a nap and there would be no way to distract them for an hour.

    • @ashlyncartervlog
      @ashlyncartervlog  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mallory R. Wow twins! You go mama! Naps were a little bit scattered until she was a bit older. And at that time she was usually getting a good three naps in. 8:30/9-11, 1-3:30/4 and sometime she would sneak in a little cat nap around five if we were out, on a walk, or she was in her swing… Even though they highly discourage that! Sometimes I just can't help but to catch even 15 minutes of sleep since they are still so young. I found it didn't mess with her night time though. And just like the author mentions, don't really worry about naps until you get them sleeping through the night. Also just keep trying to stretch them as long as you can every four hours. They will eventually get there!

      Mallory R. My daughter is now almost a year, and she is just napping two times a day now. 9 to 11 AM and then 1 to 3 PM and then she goes to sleep right at 7 PM every night and I don't get her out of her crib until about 7 AM. If we ever have one more I am for sure doing this again! It has seriously changed my life having such routine but set from such an early age! Stick with it!

    My baby is almost 6 weeks and I am ordering this book today! He is formula fed. Did she recommend in the book how many ounces for each feeding to get them going longer between feedings? Right now he is going two to three hours between feedings. Often during the day it's more like two or 2 1/2. I give him almost 3 ounces per feeding.. any tips you can give on that would be great! It will be a few days until I get the book!

    • @ashlyncartervlog
      @ashlyncartervlog  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think 3 ounces sounds right! Eventually more since at this point you're just working on getting him to stretch as far as you can during the day, so you want him to get a good full feeding in. the goal is to get to every 4 hours by 8 weeks so that you can start the night training.

    • @allisonbendixen1892
      @allisonbendixen1892 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ashlyn carter thank you! I increased to 3.3 ounces last night and got one four our stretch and a 3 1/2 hour stretch. So yay! Excited to try this!

    Will the advices in this book work for a baby of 15-16 weeks old?

  • @rusenyan4021
    @rusenyan4021 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    One thing that failed on my trial is that my baby can NOT eat that much in the daytime (vomiting...) and keeps waking up in the night for food, which makes it very hard for me to follow the methods in the book - are you guys really getting this over gradually somehow? and how? Thank you!

    Do any of you breastfeed? I could never go 12 hours without feeding him! That would completely screw up my milk supply. Also babies cluster feed when they are going through a growth spurt which is necessary to build up my supply for his growing demands so the 4 hr between feeds wouldn’t work for those moments. This might work for some people but I trust in my babies instincts. It’s a beautiful symbiotic relationship❤️

    • @lalaland687
      @lalaland687 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Definitely. Babies are very sensitive to their physiological needs, to wake up and cry means the need for food is stronger than their need for rest. Also, like you said breastfeeding supply is very dependent on the baby's demand so by default making the demand decrease will result in a decrease in supply as well.

      yeah you just express the milk with the pump, when u express u wont need to wake up as often as when u breastfeed and it wont screw up ur milkmsupply and during growth spurts u tank them up before sleep. say ur baby has a bath at 7 u feed her before and after bath as it is very energy consuming and u can also dream feed her at 11

    • @ChelseaRaeAnderson

    my daughter is 6 months old and will sleep from about 8pm to 530am and cry. We do not want to get her up until 645am. What did you do when you little one would wake up about an hour before its time to get up?

    Hello, I've read the book but I didn't understand weather I have to wait until my son's is Eatting the full six oz at all of his four feedings until I can slowly start to take away from the night feedings? He is starting to eat less at his night feedings on his own.

    How can you not cuddle your baby at 1-6 weeks old ??? They just got here. They need all the cuddles they can take. My 3 week old is already sleeping 4/5 hour stretches at night, she likes her sleep like her mama

I'm using the toolbox but it's happening so often now. thanks!!

    What do you do if baby doesn’t it make it the last stretch before the 7pm feed? Mine keeps falling asleep around 6 and I do everything to try and keep him up but he won’t😩. Do you just let him sleep and feed him at 7 or feed him at 6? I literally try everything to wake him but he just gets tired and cries.

    • @ashlyncartervlog
      @ashlyncartervlog  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just keep trying!! Eventually they will make it until 7...until then try to get to 6:30/6:45 at the earliest! I had to do that for a while too...

    I've got a friend that was telling me about this book and her routine for her little boy. I did order this book yesterday and started trying the every 4 he feedings yesterday as my little guy was still eating every 2.5-3hrs and is 8 weeks old. I had a question until my book gets here....u started him on a 9 to 9 schedule but he slept passed 1am (1:50am) which would change his whole 4 hr schedule. Do I wake him every 4 if he is sleeping or how does that work?

    • @ashlyncartervlog
      @ashlyncartervlog  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Danielle Mcclure we did 7-7 schedule. But at night, let them go as long as they can go! No waking at night ever.
