    Very fluid with superior energy management. Another amazing flight to watch. I smoked my F-16 70mm this morning. But have got the new F-16 90mm on order. I'll never give up after a crash. I can't. btw video quality is excellent .

    Nice video and excellent flying. Watching the A-10 landings reminded me of working at the now closed Richards-Gebauer AFB just south of Kansas City, MO. I had an air monitoring station just off the south taxi way and had an excellent view of them running up before and after landing. Every time I heard turbo fans it was time to go on the roof and work on the intake manifold Lol... 😁

      It's really a quite different experience to fly this one, but mostly digging the long flight times and the awesome sound of cutting through the air out of the dives! ^^

      Очень спасибо!
      Да, я нашел его по исключительной цене, поэтому купил его. ^^
      Он не такой безумно маневренный, как мои другие самолеты, но он очень веселый в других отношениях!

    You move the CG yet? or you still in stock configuration?

    • @RC4ever

      It's slightly aft of the manufacturer suggestions but I will move further aft. This time I was testing the softened nose gear spring and I try to make it a habit of not changing too many things at the same time if I can help it ;)

    Looks to me like your standing on the wrong side of the runway and facing the wrong way. There are people, cars, and buildings in front of you. What's behind you?

    • @RC4ever
      @RC4ever  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not quite. This is not a regular model aircraft airfield, it's a ULM aerodrome. We have permission from the aerodrome management to use the place when they give us the green light and there are no scheduled flights. The airspace is a bit complex around here, though; behind me there is an industrial park. It's not like it's really populated but there are streets, buildings, etc. It's an urban area and I must keep the distance to adhere to local laws. To the sides there are other properties which should preferably be avoided. To the opposite side of the industrial park, you have the buildings of the aerodrome, of course, along with the rest of modelers that came for an evening flight session and our cars. We were left to decide for ourselves what side of the runway to fly from, as long as we respected the airspace limitations. Some chose to fly in the opposite direction, but that restricts airspace a lot, as you are left with a vertical window, so to speak, not able to go ahead or behind you. Plus the terrain is not level, so if you stand by the runway, you further limit your flight space, and if you step back, you don't see clearly the runway, which would lie above you. You could use the taxiway, but it's a lot narrower and crosswind + turbulence can make it sketchy to land there. So I knowingly chose to place myself in this way, and just avoid the space right in front of me where the buildings and the cars are. Maybe you can't tell from the video, but I am not flying over that place. When the jet crosses right in front of me, I'm flying straight above the runway, either at low or high altitude. Then I 'open up' right after leaving the compromised space behind. I am pretty thorough with this and I didn't receive any complaint from the manager of the place, who was there present at all times, so rest assured that I was not being reckless. ;)

      @@RC4ever I looked up the site on Google Maps to see where you were. If I'm looking at the right place (41°22'04.8"N 1°46'00.7"E), it looks like there are fields all around except for a tree line to the east and trees to the northeast. The map is dated 6/4/2023. The Google Street View car didn't get close enough for street view to help. I could tell you were staying over the runway and widening your pattern on the ends. I also thought that the camera zoom might be compressing the distance.

    • @RC4ever
      @RC4ever  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheRCAviator Yes, you got that right. By positioning myself the way I did I avoid getting close to the buildings to the south. Mind that I must keep 150m of minimum clearance from them according to the current law, even if it's not a populated area. And sure, the camera zoom does compress the distance too... which makes it harder to understand situational awareness by just looking at the video compared to being actually at the place. Another consideration is the sun. It is pretty much aligned with the runway header to the west at sunset, so I limited my flying to the left of the buildings to avoid getting blinded by it, and spent more time to the right hand side (East). :)
