Bridging the reset pins didn't work for me either; the multimeter was testing the pack at just over 20V, when it should operate at 28.8V. What finally worked for me was inserting and removing the barrel plug (charger) several times in a row to initiate a charging cycle - it started charging properly after doing this 5-6 times in row.
Always come back to this and it works. The two contacts have never worked for me. I use am adjustable power box at 30V and have to get the battery voltage back up to about 25V before the read light comes back on and then it will charge again.
You man!!!! The pin method was not working for me. New strobes from late 2022. Both dead batteries after christmas break. Im so grateful for you help! Thank you for sharing! I used the black twist tingy for cables, that comes with the charger. Make good flat contact and wait a few seconds then the lights came on! Amazing!
Great, I did the same steps on 2 batteries and it worked efficiently.. A slight electric spark occurred when connecting the positive terminal. Thank you
I was able to do this with a drill battery. Connecting two wires - one from positive to positive and one to neg/neg. I am in the UK and wasn't until using a 240 volt with risk of arc and injury. I think the risk is still there with a wall socket in North America and a drill battery is a lot easier. I connected them for several minutes and then checked and it was good to go. That was after the battery sitting for years!
Thanks Giri!!! I tried the other method of bridging the points with no luck. Tried your method. It didn't work the first time, powered everything off - as you suggested - tried again and its working! Charging like normal now😄
Omgosh this finally worked after weeks of searching! Definitely sketchy at first but I was desperate. Since I didn't have fancy wire or alligator clips, I used paper clip! The first time it didn't work. The charger did start to do something super weird where the power light would turn off and on and then the green light loads up while the +/- was still touched. I tried to plug it in. Didn't work. Even tried the plug in/out method. Tried it again but with more time + all the methods combined. I held it on for longer and watched the charger load and do the weird thing again a few more times. This time, small sparks appeared 2-3x when the red light went in and out. I also did the whole touching points showed in the first part of the video. I used a tweezer to touch the 2 hole points (corner of circuit for ad400) as well and there's 2 tiny button by the indicator, i clicked those as well. I unplugged the charger, making sure the light is fully gone. Plugged it into the battery before powering the charger. The charger did the weird thing where red and green light would go in and out then green light, 1 bar, stayed on for a few minutes. I just let it be. Now it's charging perfectly fine. :) Mine is the AD400Pro battery (circuit is on the side)
@@CarinaChatel I used a metal paper clip with an alligator clip, followed instructions provided here and it worked. Instructions on other videos didn’t work for me.
I just tried and the charger did respond but it’s not going up and down, first time i saw the first one green led then I did it again I saw the last one and I tried it again and I saw the 2 in the middle and right now the first 3 but always not moving… I don’t know what to do 😩
@@girifilmmaking6240 Ok so I took another charger because I have another same flash unit and it’s going up and down 😬 so it seems to work !! Thank you so much
I also decided to disassemble my battery, but for some reason I have it a little different from what you have on the video, tell me what should I do? I have only one hole, in the place where the second one should be - some kind of strange white filling, I allow it to be opened, but there is no hole under it, on the contrary, there is some kind of convex object 🤯
Hey boss quick question, I have one that I'm trying to fix the batteries are fine, but when I switch it on, the screen just gives me a quick flash, and then it turns off. Have you had any issues of that?
Thank you so much Giri, found your method explained in the video to be the most reliable and easiest approach to jump start my AD400 Pro dormant battery back to life!! 🙏🏽 Now my battery is charging like before 😃

can you do a video explain this

Thank you fixed my problem by using the charger on plus and minus connectors.
Thank you! Worked for me when the 'bridging' method on its own didn't.

Dank je wel...deze informatie heeft er voor gezorgd, dat ik mijn accu van de AD400 weer op kan laden.
This worked for me. The bridge on its own was not enough. Thank you so much.
Can I ask you what kind of connecting wire did you use? I have the same problem

Good to hear that it helped😀
Did You solder the two red wires? Or manufacturer did it?
What wire are you using to charge it? I’m assuming a paper clip won’t work lol
