I'm always torn stickers vs paper for labels. Stickers are so convenient but I really love that when I use paper I can crumple the labels up and get some texture to them, though I never thought about just dirtying the edges before except for burning the edges.
I love this idea, a fantastic looking prop that also has a practical use. I would put a turntable under the foil to make the first part of dropping the ink on easier and maybe a cork in the top when spraying the varnish so none gets inside.
OMG girl you read my mind!!! I was reading Order of the Phoenix in bed a few nights ago and actually made a note to myself to make Doxycide!!!! Thank you 😉
Wow I just looooove all your videos and I wanted to make my own bottles but I don't know how to create beautiful labels like you do. I have other ideas and I would love to make them but my only big question is, how do you make this beautiful labels 🤔❓😍😍
I create them in photoshop. I have a digital arts degree so I use a combo of stock images, hand drawings, great fonts etc to create all of my labels. I hope that helps! 😊
Ooh, fun! I think I might use some black alcohol ink on one of my potion bottles, so I don't have actually put anything in it. And on my "glowing embers" insert for my fiery Pegasus.
You could definitely go over the label with the Krylon too. Or mod podge, but if you use mod podge make sure you print it on a laser printer or it might run/smear the ink.
So if the mister is $5 at the store you say, which I found it at Walmart for $5. Then why post a link for Amazon that sell it for $14 each? Why not mention the store you got yours at :(
For actual use, I'd recommend putting Witch Hazel in it! A lot of common plant pests hate Witch Hazel.
Good call!
New style of crafting a potion bottle, a usable prop, perfectly appropriate for Spring. I love it. 🙂👍❤️

What a great prop! Love the music too.👍👍
This is seriously awesome!! Will you be making something similar to remove garden gnomes?
Potentially down the line 😉
Can’t wait for the next one. I’ll let you know if I get any more ideas.

Glad I could help! 😉 There may be a few more Doxy related DIYs coming soon.

I would seal the label

The alcohol inks are super fun to work with, have fun with it! 💜
Hi, I love this video. My question is does the gel beads loose moisture? Will they dry out? Xx
Mine hasn’t and I made it over 2 years ago
@@CookingandCraftChick that's fabulous, thank you x
Hey, i suggest
Regenerative potion
Including, 1) Blood of Harry Potter
2) Fake Hand of Wormtail
3) Fake Bone of Voldemort's father
Could yuo just use glass paint instead or wouldn't it look the same
It probably won’t give the exact same look but you could still get an interesting look with glass paint.
I was wondering u could make the essence bottles from animal crossing pocket camp
I’ll look into that. I’ve never played animal crossing so I’ll have to do some research. 😉
Can you do a Peter pan bottle?
Like pixie dust or something else.
Do you have to use the varnish to seal it? I cantfind any in stock anywhere.
No any clear coat should work
Any reason for or against doing another coat of krylon over the label to protect it too? Too shiny? Is there a Matte option?
You could definitely go over the label with the Krylon too. Or mod podge, but if you use mod podge make sure you print it on a laser printer or it might run/smear the ink.
Where did you pick up the bottle mister?
I got mine at Walmart it is a Better Home and Gardens brand one. Target had some too.
Five below has also started selling them; I saw them on a shelf there last week.
So if the mister is $5 at the store you say, which I found it at Walmart for $5. Then why post a link for Amazon that sell it for $14 each? Why not mention the store you got yours at :(
Because not everyone has the option of a Walmart. I try to give several buying options for people.
another idea that you could do with this one, is maybe putting hand sanitizer in the bottle, so that people can use it to clean their hands!
Great idea!!
@@CookingandCraftChick thanks! :-)
