    I have a 10 foot Zeppelin inbound. I've used an Advanced Elements convertible for many years and have learned to hate it. I've lost two of their drop stich floors as well just from being in storage. I'm really hoping the Zep is a better option. I'm a little concerned that it is so short though. The AE is about 14 feet long and slices pretty well for a cloth over innertube craft. Thoughts?

    I have the Zeppelin 12.5.
    Great for lakes and sound.
    Does not like barnacles, I have a lot of patch jobs but still going strong.
    Easy to cast and the fly line can just sit on deck.

    I think is time for bote to start building the zodiac type of inflatables...hope to see one soon!

    I do not like my lono with Pedal drive very much. Wasn't a big fan of the chair so I use a Larry chair. The pedal drive is impossible to get in and out quickly if it is connected to that hinge with the giant pin. I end up not connecting the hinge so I can pull it in and out quickly if I get in shallow water but you lose a ton of side to side stability. I leave the back off as well because I just get so tired of inflating all the extra pieces. I'm trying to offload mine and move to an itrek from hobie. Lighter, simpler, and better quality.

      David, the Hobie is incredible for sure. Also, the Larry Chair from TravelChair is a great chair. I have several of them. All of the propeller drive systems are inferior to the Hobie system.
      If you’re local we have one Hobie iTrek 11 left in stock.

    I have the Bote Rover. I paddle it like a kayak stand and paddle it like a SUP or a mini skiff with a 55hp trolling motor or a gas 9.9hp. I also Bote with 2 people on it And now for my i want to get my girl a Bote Rackem with the Apex drive.

    Well my suggestion as a new kayaker is to offer more than a 30 day return policy and lose the 20% restocking fee (of course and unless there is some damage to the return). I was researching and decided to go with Sea Eagle b/c they offer a 120 day trial / return policy where you can actually try them out and see if a particular model is for you or not. But your boats do look fun and exciting, I just couldn't take the chance since there is no local seller for me to go and try it out.

      At our store we have demos of every model available for people to try out.

      @@Gigharborflyshop Well, that's a bit far for me to drive (from Texas) to try out. LOL

      How dry do you stay in it? I'm looking for a kayak for my wife to take herself and the dog and debating between the Deus and the baby Zeppelin.

    • @Gigharborflyshop
      @Gigharborflyshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both the Deus & baby Zeppelin are dry rides. If the dog is going to be in the front, go with the Deus. If the dog is going behind the seat, go with the zeppelin.

      Any idea how the zeppelin is launching from surf?

    • @Gigharborflyshop
      @Gigharborflyshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shawn, I would think the 10 would be a lot better than the 12'6. But after a recent attempt to unsuccessfully surf launch a Hobie down in Mexico, I'm not the person to answer your question! haha

    This is $1500 without the $900 Pedal Drive?

    • @Gigharborflyshop
      @Gigharborflyshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah they do it differently than other companies like Hobie, the pedal drive is sold separately from the kayak.

      @@Gigharborflyshop Ouch! They really missed the mark with that pricing.

      I like it in the rackham. the comparable products on the market are about the same price too.
