Our full written review of the BOTE Zeppelin Aero iKayak is available here: www.supboardguide.com/bote-ze...
    Summary Review:
The Zeppelin Aero is a brand new iKayak from BOTE, and is designed for solo and tandem kayakers looking for an extra stable, easy to use, versatile, inflatable kayak platform.
The BOTE Zeppelin Aero measures 12’6’’ long, 38’’ wide, and has a 9’’ diameter. From our testing, we could confirm that it managed to support up to 600 lbs with minimal performance loss. Not only is it very stable, but it is highly maneuverable as well, whether you are a solo or tandem kayaker.
Bottom line - we think the Bote Zeppelin inflatable kayak deserves some serious attention, and we think it is a great option for anyone looking for an all-around kayak. From the ocean, to the river, and all the lakes in between, we think the Zeppelin is a ton of fun!
BOTE makes some of the sturdiest, long lasting watercraft in the industry, and the BOTE Zeppelin continues the trend of high quality, durable, and well made inflatable watercraft. The Zeppelin consists of a central deck made with a tight-drop stitch core protected by two layers of fused military grade PVC composite. For added stability and rigidity, the central deck is supported by two inflatable pontoons at its side. With the Zeppelin Aero, BOTE has also decided to show off their brand new inflatable kayak seats. Inflation time for the main deck and two pontoon side chambers took less than 10 minutes, and once you attach a seat or two you’ll be out on the water in 15 minutes or less!
There are a number of other great features as well, some old if you are familiar with BOTE inflatable SUPs and kayaks, and some that are brand new. BOTE watercraft is well regarded for their heavy accessory compatibility, and with the Zeppelin Aero you get 2 action mounts, 2 RAC receivers, 8 D-rings, and several other accessory mounts as well. The coolest new feature is the brand new Magnepod drink holder, located on the center of Zeppelin’s deck. If you have a compatible drink thermos, tumbler, or drink holder, you just have to drop it near the Magnepod mount for it to snap in place with the included magnet technology. You won’t have a spilled drink ever again, and when you’re ready to take a sip just lean your tumbler over to undo the magnetic lock, making it really easy to dismount your drink from the deck.
A wide range of other high quality accessories come with the Zeppelin Aero as well. You get a five-piece kayak paddle blade made out of fiberglass, and besides being lightweight it fits well into the included paddle holder. The single-chamber pump is compact and easy to use, and it surprised our expectations to see it inflate the Zeppelin Aero in less than 10 minutes. The new inflatable kayak seat provides a nice, firm seat that we didn’t just use on the kayak, but because it was so nice we sat on the beach with it as well. All of the included gear fits in the great, oversized roller gear bag in such a way that even if you don’t fold your kayak up perfectly, it will all still fit into the included gear bag. By buying the Zeppelin Aero directly from BOTE’s website, you’ll also have a 2-year warranty and a 60-day guarantee to decide if the Zeppelin Aero is right for you.
We think it will be, because the BOTE Zeppelin Aero is some of the most fun we’ve ever had on the water. Whether we went out by ourselves or with two reviewers at a time, the Zeppelin Aero offers amazing performance and offers a great balance of stability, maneuverability, and tracking. The Zeppelin Aero is built to last, and despite its large size it weighs just about 41 lbs, so you can carry the BOTE iKayak by yourself or easily do it with a friend. A large assortment of accessories are included as well, with plenty of mounts if you want to bring even more gear out with you on the water. You will have to buy a second seat and kayak paddle if you are planning to go out with a partner accompanying you. Otherwise, the BOTE Zeppelin Aero is an amazing iKayak, and one of our go to options when we want to have a smooth, stable, and fun tandem paddling experience.

Not sure if this was recorded with pre-production information, but unfortunately the Zeppelin listed on the Bote website no longer includes the 5-piece paddle.

I picked up this kayak last month and I’m stoked to get it out this spring with my family. I chose it for all the reasons you both described. I’m also an acid kayak angler and this fits that bill perfectly. Weight capacity is typically the main issue for traditional kayaks (non-inflatable) with regard to kayak fishing gear. This boat has a capacity of 400 pounds which I will likely never even get close to exceeding.

We'd love to know what you think about it when you get out there! Unfortunately, we had to send it to the next review channel and only had a limited amount of time to spend on it but loved every second of it!

Dang, which zeppelin did you get?? The tandem one actually holds 600lbs.

No one ever really reviews durability in the view of an angler... What if I'm out and a hook penetrates the inflatable bote? Or you run up on shallow unexpected rocks... Will it endure? What to do if it doesn't?

Between this and the Deus which would you suggest for my use case? 6ft tall 250lbs have a 30lb dog. Not a good Swimmer so stability is key. Looking for fitness. For exercise I like that the Deus I could SUP and practice SUPing. Could I paddle standing on this too?

Check out the Bote Lono. You can do both and it has a 400lb limit.

Deus catches a LOT of wind with it's high sides. I've paddled this 10' and 12' Zeppelin and the 12' is the better performer for speed and tracking and of course more room, but for general purpose rivers, lakes, creeks, and white water including Class II, the 10' is sweet. Made with good quality materials.

I’d like to see this build as a dual use. Make the centre board a paddle board with all the options like Blackfin XL or V. Cheers from Canader eh!

can you stand in these like a paddleboard

    • @gloppy101
      @gloppy101 ปีที่แล้ว

Absolutely and they can be paddled like a paddle board, but a board will be faster although far less stable than these kayaks. For taking out kids(s) or dogs, go with the the Zeppelin as the stability is MUCH better.

hey guys, would it kill you to stand up for the review, maybe show a different angle and use of it. LOL. The laziest product review in history. And yes, I am kidding. Partially

In fact, yes. Justin tore his Achilles and was unable to stand at all at the time. We are hoping to get the Zeppelin back in so we can do further reviewing of it as we did love the limited amount of time we did have with it.
