    I left hong kong last year after growing up there from the beginning till I was 16. Those videos and sounds made me cry, every place you showed I had memories with my friends or family pop up, I miss my home so much. I miss even the things I used to hate in Hong Kong, the over-bright obnoxious lights flashing, those loud city sounds that are there even during midnight (they've become some sort of a lullaby for me and I miss falling asleep with it), I miss the wet, hot barely breathable air in Hong Kong during the summer, and sometimes even the sounds of my neighbors loud arguing.

    • @sherendev
      @sherendev  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      awww :( i know the feeling of missing home too much, i can relate. i'm actually glad that this video could visualize HK along with your memories.
      and btw, i just love how you put your feelings into words - you really described the vibes, the things that we can easily take for granted.
      i hope you'll always find your way back home. :) until then, hang in there!
      ps - i'm also not too sure how long i'll stay in this country, so i'm trying my best to keep making memories here.

      @@sherendev I think it would be a huge mistake for you to leave Hong Kong. If you truly love HK, your motherland, then you should be willing to help improve the lives of HKers in HK, and NOT escape to a foreign country to work for foreign powers which have no interest in making HK better. Their goal is to disrupt HK as a step to topple an emerging Asian super power - China.

    • @chinadreamer6862
      @chinadreamer6862 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sherendev I completely agree on the different priorities in life. What I find most interesting is that most young people in Hong Kong have no idea what the world is like outside. They have this fantasy admiration for the West that is fueled by Hollywood - the best marketing engine in the world. No doubt. But they don't see the big picture. They focus on the unimportant. They don't see that China and HK has come a long way overcoming so much struggle. China was occupied by 6 different colonial empires. China had to give up HK because they were too weak to fight off the British Empire who killed 200,000 Chinese and burnt down the most beautiful Summer Palace in Beijing to spite the Emperor who refused to allow the import of Opium. China would have been broken into a thousand pieces long ago if it wasn't for the patriots who stood up against foreign powers.

       @sherendev I've been there in autumn 2019 and I kept my Octopus card in the belief that I would get back to HK soon. Then, the covid-19 hit and I think I can't fulfill my promise to come back to HK before expiration of the card.
      Over all the beautiful places in HK, I especially love the Victoria Park's night calm atmosphere.

    • @sherendev
      @sherendev  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ahahah you kept the octopus 🥲 actually it’s expiring in 1000 days (according to internet) with no value added, if it’s over 1000 days you can just come back & activate it here!! :D
      I’ve never been to Victoria Park at night eventho it’s quite near from my home.... lol but i agree, sometimes in HK all we need is a calm, quiet atmosphere 😊

    Thank you for this video. I just realised that there are a lot of things I badly missed in Hong Kong though I merely stayed there for two years. I felt the grip of wanting to go back and visit.
