- This video was made by me in Tunisia, May 2015. EDIT: YTs anti-shake function shook up the outro, sorry for that it was not intended
Special thanks to Paul Fothergill, who helped me choosing the music for this video.
Some great filming there, that soldier was impressive! Congrats for the nice macro and the choice of music!
great job filming this. your video is better than all the bbc nat geo etc
Fascinating and well narrated video!
This video was amazing
Awesome video! That soldier could be a Dark Soul's boss hahaha. Amazing animals. What kind of consciousness they have? I'm here because of an article stating that they are fastest ants in the world!
And they are!
I had the chance to cross one in Timimoun, Algerian beautiful desert, good quality video and well narrated, thanks for sharing with us man :)
Nice video, I hope I'll see those on the field one day, thank you for the vid !
myrmecofourmis this ant lives lives in my country tunisia i can ivited you to see her
@@saberbenabou4621 hi! How often do you see these ants? How hard is it to find a queen?
@@user-nl5qy9ln4u You can see it in the summer
It’s easy
@@saberbenabou4621 is there any way I can contact you in social media? I want to buy these ants from you if it’s possible, I can suggest really good price.
They are amazing, I still don't understand this digging behaviour at the entrance. What do they do that for?
It's more eficient at digging out the sand than picking it up with their mandibles
EACH TIME SAND BLOWS THE AREA OF THE ENTRANCE GETS SMALLER EACH DIGGING MAKES IT EASY TO MAINTAIN THE AREA.
@@uptimusprime7643 so you think it is preventive digging? as in the entrance is not blocked yet but if they don't do it all the time it will close?
@@myrmecofourmis YES
Isn't that Steve Reich's desert music at the beginning? I actually remembered something from school. :D
Beautiful
Hope you get 1000000 subs man!!!
Amazing ants i have just got my self a colony of Cataglyphis.sp.
How?
Nice video. So it over with some David Attenborough voice like audio
I guess the smaller black ant in my house is the 2nd
So that's why valyrians have silver hair 😀
I believe the music is by Steve Reich, Music for eightteen musicians. :-)
Why are we here at the same time?
@@myron1k778 Fate of course ;-)
was this recorded on Djerba? I really want to see these ants
Occultus Ants I had the chance to cross one of these ants in Timimoun, a wonderful Algerian desert with a magical pinky red sand, the ant came near to me I could admire it very well, it seemed to tell me "hello, I never saw you here before, who are you?... Look how beautiful I am... Bye" :) That was one of the best memory I have of that place, you should go there my friend ;)
@@008aza hi! I’m really interested capturing them. How rare are they? Do you know anyone who can sell them?
What are they digging for
Fire. (The Pixies)
The commentary voice or what ever you call him it so boring
