But also, that can't be the only reason he tried to kill *only* him. He didn't bring himself to kill any of the other crew, so why Lucius? Here's the tea: It's closing the door that Lucius has only just helped him to start opening. Lucius has really been the one to help Ed understand and, eventually, express his emotions. To start with, Lucius forcefully gets through to him with a telling-off and a bit of sense, confronting him with his (rather obvious) feelings, and truly making him understand them. It's not his fault, he's Blackbeard. He's mysterious, he creates beasts to tell his stories and make them sound like fiction, and is incredibly new to love. He doesn't understand why he feels certain things, and was quite literally toying with the idea of dying in the first full episode that he's in. But when he's nagged for not appreciating his own (or Stede's) feelings, Ed doesn't actually fight back. It surprises him, and it makes him suspicious (you can see it in his expression, he's not used to someone being so argumentative with him and getting away with it) but, after listening and most likely agreeing, he follows Lucius's advice. No one confronts him like Lucius did in that scene, apart from Izzy. And even when Izzy has done it in the past he gets a retort or an argument or *cough cough* loses a toe in response. The main difference is (I think) the confrontation Lucius has with him is trying to get Ed to understand what makes him happy or to simply help him understand why he's feeling the way he is. @@mymemesarereal9116 I don’t drink enough to have been totally sure of the brand but I’m like 99.9% certain that’s what it is. It’s never turned to the camera such that it would show one side - I think there’s printing on it. 😂
Yeah, that's definitely a Crown Royal bag 😂
I rewatched the whole series just to see Lucius face in the background 😂
Lucius is soo precious 🥺♥️
This is my "Sense and Sensibility"
0:29 is one of my fav parts it is so funny
2:40 AND 3:09 BLACKBEARD AND STEDE ARE WEARING EXACTLY THE SAME GOWN. I NEVER REALIZED.
OMG I NEVER NOTICED THAT 😭
I NEED HIM ALIVE. I even think I can’t forgive Ed for the mere attempt of killing Jim.
amazingg
I need a commentary on the whole show like this
i feel like the "hanging on" scene was a warning. not foreshadowing. a clear warning I'm pretty sure Edwards protecting him from Mr Hands
My thoughts exactly. Ed even mentions a "finger bleeding to the bone" and literally says that it was about somebody else who has to hang on!
