honestly my patience was tested to a new level in this game. But for a small development team this has got to be one of the best free games out there, right?
I saw this game posted on a reddit page about a year ago. Played it for about 20 hours. It is an amazing game that I always recommend whenever survival games get brought up. I always tell people its basically The Long Dark, but in the desert (and no real combat)

I was in the discord and got the wonderful opportunity to do a beta test for this game! The devs are not only great at designing their game, but they are also friendly!
My friend is actually the main voice character! Her name is Sam and she does a bunch of game voices including a battle royale she just did pretty recently :) this game was super cool coming out and even wilder that a university team came out with it

This game really reminds me of The Long Dark, with the way your food and water depletes as you sleep, the temperatures and extreme storms… I’m definitely checking it out!
I also did a playthrough of this game. I sincerly hope the members of the creative team have jobs already waiting for them in the industry, this was a great effort! 😀

I haven't seen anyone bring this up yet, the most interesting thing about this one is that every other survival game is usually about keeping warm from a cold climate. Unique idea.
This kinda reminds me of The Forest, they both have the same idea of someone involved in a plane crash as a lone survivor who has to survive, the only difference is the location and the fact that in The Forest you also have to survive against cannibals and mutants who will constantly patrol to find people and if they spot you, lone survivor, they will try to kill you
The mechanics remind me of The Long Dark... well.... ok, after a thought Arid is desert The Long Dark, which I approve. TLD is a pretty focused survival game, doesn't boggled with building and much crafting and you fight mostly against the elements not zombies. Glad someone was inspired by it :3
3 things, 1 wow I did'nt expect it would be in chile (atacama desert is the most dry and arid desert in the world and is in chile) 2 the game have some realy realistic mecanics, and that put a smile on my face. And it looks realy good (i'm not talking about graphics) maybe I'l give it a try, 3 great work, is a realy good video keep it up (you have my respects for not quiting playing the game, it looks hard)

this video feels like a really long raid shadow legends ad when those youtubers tell you that they *REALLY* created a clan and played for the past 2 days xD..
The enemy or in this case a mummy that moves in the ground can't get to you if you are on the crafting platform. That is a static mesh build made in a blueprint if this game was made in unreal engine. Anyway if the AI enemy NPC are only allowed to traverse the landscape, it can't walk on to the craft bench area because that has no navigation info... Not evenb sure what engine this is, so i just go out of what it would be if it was made in unreal engine here
Parts of this remind me of The Long Dark from Hinterland. There's even one special scenario in that game where you are being pursued by an invisible monster.
