Showing support from the group as 436. No idea what mechanical speak means, but my hubby's gonna love it. I'm sending him back here. I'm a crafter and beader, so if I can put the key in my ignition and back out of my garage without a mishap...it's a good day. lol. Best wishes.
just what I wanted to hear. I have a purge valve stuck closed , and a p0455. I started wondering if the pcm couldn't make a vacuum in the system would it think there was a gross leak. Apparently so, thank you
Channels like this are why youtube is so great! I am definitely going to use your knowledge of cars for my own issues in the future lol 😂 def new sub here👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much the help!!! It truly means a lot! By the way I think your car videos are definitely going to be helpful for me once I get my first car
The man who knows how to fix Fords? Cats here are big Ford fans! Nothing beats the fur blowing in the air while riding in Mom's Convertible! The problem is - the warranty... eeek... almost gone. So, we better keep a paw on you - in case you need to fix something! High Paw!
Great looking channel. I came over from another to help. Would appreciate the help back! I enjoy trying to repair/maintain my own vehicles, so thanks for sharing!

The cars are getting more complicated every year, hard to keep up with the technology. Long gone are the days of fixing a car with a basic tool set. lol
hello how are you, I have a Ford exhaust 3.0 v6 2008, I have a problem that is driving me crazy and I do not know what to do, the vehicle turns on and off, it does not stay stable, can you tell me any solution? 🙏🏽

the purge valve has two functions. The computer opens it while driving to burn off the fumes from the gas tank which get stored in the charcoal canister. It's to keep the gas fumes from evaporating into the atmosphere. emission standards. The other purpose is to check the condition of the evap system. When the computer wants to check for leaks it closes the vent valve(which is open when you refuel so the gas pump doesn't keep shutting off on you) and opens the purge valve. The purge valve then allows the vacuum from the motor to start pulling the evap system into a vacuum, then the computer closes the purge valve(sealing the system) and watches the fuel tank pressure sensor to see how long it takes for the vacuum to diminish. If the vacuum drops to fast it throws a code. In this video the problem was the purge valve never opened, so the computer never saw the evap system go into a vacuum. It's just assuming there's a big leak in the system letting the vacuum out.
If you still have the old one take it apart and look inside its really pretty simple design.

That's why I started doing them. I use youtube a lot for typical problems with vehicles, so I figured I would add to the database.

Great content but the shadows in the poor lighting made identifying things difficult.
