Thank you! I inherited this with my new house purchase... want to keep it for years. Love it and your video was helpful for a noobie like me. My daughter and I watched the video while doing the tune. Need a spark plug socket now but it turned out great. Thank you!

Nice video! When you drain the oil remove the dip stick. That will allow the oil to vent the oil out quickly. Plus it looks like you overfilled the oil! Always run the engine after adding 1-1/2 quarts to allow the oil filter to fill up then check the level. And no need for a new air filter, you can use compressed air to blow it clean. And the spark plug should be good for at least 10 seasons.

Thanks for sharing your experience - very helpful. We purchased our Cub Cadet XT1 LT46 in the summer of 2017, I try my best for the D-I-Y method, but sometimes either we don't have the proper tools or I don't have the experience. On July 11, 2019, we had all the lawn equipment [Cub Cadet ($133.32), Toro AWD push mower ($69.22) and Echo Trimmer ($20.00) to diagnose as permanently damaged] serviced at a local shop.
In 2020, I performed the oil/filter change service for the Toro push lawnmower and it smoked for a little while because I poured a little too much oil in the reservoir. The Cub Cadet's blades were sharpened, the oil and oil filter were both changed and the fuel filter was changed in 2019, so now I may try to give our Cub Cadet a tune-up this year.

Helps to lightly grease the bottom of the filter rubber so it seals good.
When replacing the fuel filter might as well add in a fuel shut off valve. You wouldn’t need more hose, cut the hose behind the filter add in the valve and hook the other side to the hose from the tank.
That blower is different, looks handy.

I wasn't thinking straight till afterwards I realized i could have installed the valve like you said

Thanks for the video. Does the direction of the fuel filter not matter?

The fuel filter does have a flow direction I think.

@@BrileyWray Yeah, I finally found the arrow on the one I was installing. It was really hard to see!
