I am not defaming Tata but while compared to maruthi swift and I 20 the both car are too silent.. we can't even know engin is on or off that much silent .. but Tata has more engin noise ... It's 101 % true
I was looking in this segment of premium hatchbacks. Took test drive of all 3, Baleno, i20 and Altroz.
On standby with just engine turned on Altroz does have more NVH "in comparison to" Baleno and i20. But this comparison is only for comparing NVH and not very practical from real life pov as no one jist sits in their car with engines turned on.
While driving Baleno and Altroz NVH were similar couldn't notice much difference but here i20 was the most silent.
Overall practically in all 3 cars once I drove them around city, the city noise easily overpowered the engine. So silence anyway I was not going to get as long as I am driving in city 🤣.
On highways cruising Baleno and Altroz had similar NVH only i20 had noticeable less NVH.

Life is more important than engine.... every company has marketing policies and cost cutting technique
no doubt it is a good product bro.. because as such no cars are bad...its depends upon how we drive but as per your vdo being an i20 owner i can assure u the frequency of noise which i heard in the cabin of tata altroz...u believe me u won't get its 5% of noise in i20....even sometimes i get confuse wheather the engine is start or stop...i can assure that no one can match its NVH level or refinement...it is the best in the segment....but again no doubt altroz is a good product overall...but tata should think about their engine when it comes to its compitition...🙂

Took a test drive of all 3 popular cars in this segment Altroz, Baleno and i20. I can confirm that Baleno and Altroz are almost similar in NVH while driving whereas i20 actually is significantly silent than both.
But those who genuinely want to buy a car in this segment I would suggest to take a test drive first before forming opinions on NVH of cars bcoz in practical life nobody just sits in their cars with engines turned on. Also practically while taking test drive of these vehicles in city, the city noise easily overpowered engine noises, so as long as you are driving in cities, you anyway won't get silence lol.
Bhai I like Altroz. But usme automatic nahi he. Isliye Tiago option he. But agar ye automatic compromise karke altroz aaj let ki to worth rahega Kya.
Altroz is Worth Buy then Tiago AMT because everything is big and premium in Altroz with minimum increase in amount...

Bhai maine 1 month pahle tata altroz gadi li hai.lekin running condition me jab exletor badha te to engine ki awaj ati hai.shuru me awaj nahi ati thi.

NOT AT ALLL... There isn't any vibration on gear knob and steering pe to feel hi nahi hota kuch...

Idle pe to steering me halka sa bohot kam vibration rahta hai lekin chalne ke baad to bilkul bhi nahi hai vibration...... Me apni altroz ki baat kar raha hu

Meine khud hyundai xcent mein baitha hu, i20 mein baitha hu, celerio mein baitha hu, dezire mein baitha hu..usme mein piche seat tak vibration ata hai..fir hum nexon kharide usme yeh sab prblm hai hi nai

Sir Air filter gives rattling noise which is disturbing...there is also a noise from fuel pump.... 9lakh de ke premium car me aisi disturbance pura dil dukha deti hai

They must have changed it earlier.. but probably this engine is giving huge numbers to tata motors so they were thinking then why should we invest more..
