- Tata punch is one of the most interesting vehicles from Tata and is one of the safest cars in the segment.
At a price of under 10 lakh, it sounds like a good deal, also with the kind of features that it offers and the road presence that you get us definitely one of the best in the segment
A lot of people do not talk about the long-term issues faced with the Tata punch and today we are going to discuss and understand the same.
Tata punch offers excellent drivability with its 1.2 liters naturally aspirated engine with three cylinders. The talking point of the Tata is its fuel-efficiency the bs6 motor is smoother than ever and offers extremely good fuel efficiency which should work wonders for people who are using the car for a city commute.

May be just a 5 star body shell but their cars are full of issues, paint issues, critical engine issues, gearbox oil seal leakages, rusting issues, electronics issues, aftersales the major one. Nexon also has tons of issues like oil cooler failures, gearbox failures, A mount failures, and what not. Research twice before even thinking of Tata cars. Just a body shell will not save you on the road. A reliable engine, reliable gearbox, reliable electronics, reliable brakes and gogd quality ESP bug free software might save you definately.

I'm from Jorhat Assam.I have purchased tata punch. And I've completed all my services. Jorhat me tata dealer and services center ek hi campus me hai. Tata ka service yeha par bohut acha hai. Hume aaj tak koi problm nehi huwa.
हमने 2022 में nexon कार लेनी थी पर किसी कारणवश हमने कार नहीं ली फिर मैंने कई लोगों से जिन्होंने टाटा कार ले रखी है के बारे में बात करता था तो ज्यादातर लोगों को सर्विस और breakdowns की शिकायत रहती थी उनको । अब 2024 में हमने fronx बुक की है
The special part of service centre is if you show them a DENT, they will ask you to replace the entire car. 😃😃😃
Yes they will also ask to buy new car with more refined engine at offer price which is still a decade behind Toyota and suzuki
Tata fans can't handle criticism and cons. They think all maruti owners are stupid and fools. In their opinion, Only tata owners survive on roads and all maruti suzuki owners die.
8 out of 10 times i was told to choose baleno over altroz by car owners. Only youtubers support tata blindly but in real life, story is reverse.
i20 is also much better option. Better in build quality than Baleno. Better engine refinement. Superb premiumness. Only con of it is mileage. Rest all ok.
@@arjunbhasin8302 Almost agree. You cannot say i20 has much better build quality than new baleno. 19-20 ka fark hai. Both will score 3 star. New baleno has improved a lot in build quality. Also i20 is costlier, costlier on road price and costlier servicing. Fit and finish is best. Looks stylish too. It was my 1st choice but i did not want to extend my budget further so settled for baleno and milaege is very very low i city condition for i20.

Fully agree, in bangalore local garages will do better servicing than tata service centers. I stopped going to tata services long ago.

I have 2 tata cars. After service of my car, tata never calls me for feedback for rating from 10 to 0. They never call. So you cant complaint about dissatisfaction. Everytime you jave to face harrassment
Bro, I m also highly disappointed by Okey SC Mirzapur, new 15 day old punch fender dent and scratches Removal they charged me 9935/- but cud not remove issue in 2 visits Meanwhile go mechanic price is 5690..now they r making diffrent type of excuses.. really pathetic services from TAtA SCs..
I was thinking to buy TATA Altroz and then in future may be Harrier. I also knew about the after sales service but when I searched about Altroz on YT then many rusting issues surfaced and then I changed my mind about buying TATA. Even though the product line is Phenomenal and one can live with manufacturing defects or can even get them fixed but owners of 6 months to 1 Year old TATA cars are facing rusting issues in there car multiple times if after they got their car repainted from service center.
Even Mahindra cars face this issue.

Service regarding issue is there but I have one particular workshop where I do the service and into the workshop I have one person only who I contact everytime... I have excellent experience of service too
I think they should grow the number of service stations as Tata is growing.

Yeah buddy, I have Tata Punch Creative AMT. Car performance is above average but the after servicing is horrible. Other than a car wash and wiper water change, they did pretty much nothing in the first service. Really dislike their customer support and after service. It will kill Tata Motors. (At the time of car delivery, the car dealer staff was even insisted to put a rating of 9 or 10 out of a total of 10. How can they insist customer to put a higher rating?? Customer should do it themselves. Staff was saying Tata won't accept a rating below 8 or 9. What is the usage of such kind of rating system?)
Want a feedback. Does tata car engines become noisy after 30/40k driving? I just had a test ride of altroz and tiago of 2020 and 2021 at spinny..and they were making horrible noise. Please give a feedback

manufacturing defect I got in my Tiago XT 2021 since I purchased and problem was wheel alignment and engine locked. I try so hard to replacement but replacement karke nahi di. Chala raha hu Abhi bhi defective car.

@@kirtikorade4625 If you haven't purchased TATA car yet, go for honda if build quality is your prime concern. Otherwise Suzuki is low maintenance, service friendly and pocket friendly brand. Brezza even offers 4 star safety. Suzuki has its own flaws such as fit and finish issue(which is also an issue in tata cars, hyundai best in this sector) & build quality. If you have tata car and you are facing rusting issue, then only tata service can help you.

Rusting issues in tata car?
I have Tata Tiago. I totally agree with you. Service experience is very bad. For me even sales experience was bad because Tata dealers ego is increasing day by day due to their sales numbers. Haven't faced any major issue with car till yet. But if there was another car in hatchback segment of mahindra or honda ..i would have considered them

We can get car serviced outside. That's not an issue. Be it service centre of any manufacturer most are trying to rob the customers. Problem is manufacturing defects in their cars. Witnessed few videoes and BHP forum links where their new cars like Harrier too giving issues since day 1. The worst part is they won't even change your vehicle. One isn't spending 10-15 K that they can replace their cars. The cost is in lacs and there we don't expect manufacturing defects. If such cases coming then how we will be able to trust TATA. We too want TATA & MAHINDRA to grow as they can provide us cars with reasonable costs and good crash test ratings. But both TATA & MAHINDRA have rusting issues so crash test rating is fine but what about body shell overall quality. There is no other manufacturer other than VW that can provide 6 year rust warranty still. Others can give cheap cars but quality of VW alongwith paint quality of VW no one can match. Safety aspect too is best in them

One thing I will say that .. I am a proud owner of tata punch.. Tata really Improved their after sales service.. If any problem occurred.. U will definitely complain in their website.. They will definitely solve your problems..
I have 20k Run Tata Punch. so Far I had one issue, that is Body Rusting. There were small bubbles on 2 Doors and I got it repainted under warranty. Vehicle returned without polishing and washing from Service Center and Found Haze on Paint after washing. What they have did is unknown.

I am not that concern about after sale service, even I can wait for service appointment. Unse to bahut dino main milna hota hai, but The only concern I have is the engine and reliability, I have chevy beat and my friend bought Tata tiago, believe me I enjoy 2010 chevy beat more over tiago. It feels like I am driving a truck. Hope Tata will collab with Japanese .

TATA dealers and service centers suck. Fit and finish need serious improvement. Rattling starts within a month of use. Electrical parts stop working. Mice get into the cabin and cut the wires. Quality of the parts are below average. Engine fails without warning. Rusts a lot quicker. Frequent visits to the service centers even though you hate them.
Please spend your money on more reliable products like Toyota, Suzuki, VW, and Honda.

Manufacturing defects are a big headache for a customer and a deal breaker also. I bought nexon xm this year and got tons of defects on day-1, they dont even do a short pdi before selling the car. From door locking to paint issues, list is unending. Now if you say, A customer can manage minor cosmetics defects but what about engine issues. Their new engine is giving rattling noise from day-2 and Serv centre is not able to resolve it, what the fuck? What type of technician do they hire?
Tata 🚘CARS should take SHAKEr Suman as their brand ambassador. The kind of vibration the Tata engines make gives SHAKEr Suman an advantage to promote the TATA cars with his name. 😊😊😊
Very good review of Tata cars..I own Tata Nexon Petrol top end 2018 model.. But Tata Nexon has bad gear shifting and very hard clutch..it feels very stressful while driving in the city.. Sometimes underpower in the city driving with lower gears..Only sports mode it has beast
I forgot to mention the gearbox issue with most of their cars common problem being gear not shifting in reverse during startup sometimes..thanks for sharing your experience sir

No premium ness..Tata motors should focus on car designing and colour selection n finishing..And Tata cars horn sound also bad. More service centers should have opened. Second 3 cylinder is not ok . Compare to normal 4 cylinder. Which is proven around world. Only safety tata is ok. After driving tiago swift baleno tiago is good in steering and pickup but not as good as swift in handling in highway.

I am proud to own a Tata car. As they are strong and well built they perform slightly lower than other cars as their light and their engines are not heavy. But safety Tata is the best. Jaan hai to jahaan hai
