Started in blender a month or so before the start of the pandemic. I don’t have a lot of experience in Maya, except for two or so small projects, but am wanting to start learning more of it and eventually switch. So happy to have found this channel!
“I found Blender to be generally less effective. Although I tested it alongside Maya, I found that Maya’s algorithms perform better. Even when using the Quadremesh plugin in Blender, the results were disappointing. Despite Autodesk’s increasing complexity, I don’t regret returning to Maya after a long hiatus. Unfortunately, Blender isn’t widely adopted in the industry, so using it doesn’t lead to as many job opportunities. Thank you for the video! Have you experimented with retopology hardsurface modeling?”
you can choose edges that you want to be kept and make them hard. then when reapologizing check keep hard edges. she didn't really go into any kind of depth with this tutorial unfortunately.
This was very helpful thank you. I want to get substance painter since I never used it before. Do you have a beginner on TH-cam on how to use the software?
You are going to LOVE Substance Painter :) Here is a whole playlist on how to use it: th-cam.com/play/PLbxLlP-Vyt--HFKdWv7aRHyChvY0yRaml.html I hope this helps!

Glad it was helpful! Best of luck in your studies!!
Me too!! Was super surprised to see this comment, hope your classes are going well :)
Thank you Monica! Very cool!
Hi! Very helpful video. I'm just curious: Would using the grease pencil also help reduce the poly count if you needed to go that route?
Thank you - this was super helpful!
Yes .
Please make a video ...for realistic super car modelling with glowing lights
Amazing!
Thanks!!
Thanks, Monica, for handy tips.
You are so welcome!
Thank you Monica it was very helpful !!
THANK U 💗💗
You are so welcome!
thank you very much!
Good stuff, booleans can be frustrating in some instances, thanks!
You bet! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much !!!
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching!
How would we keep hard sharp edges? Would we use crease edges or something like that?
There is an option to keep hard edges
Thanks!

Hey there Monica, have you thought about including Mudbox in your workflow?
I'm not a fan of Mudbox. I usually texture with Substance Painter or sculpt with ZBrush.
How to keep Hard edges?
Yass

It's a quick tutorial so I didn't go into the tool in-depth. Thanks for the helping Ghalib!
i love it~
very helpful
I realize now this video was pretty cheezy
Someone finally said it!! Thank you!! 😁
@@AcademicPhoenixPlus i have tried this techniqueand it brokes the shader everytime, now do i have to unwrap the uv again from scratch?
awesome
Thank you! 😊

@@AcademicPhoenixPlus thank you
sis please upload a video about hardsurface and edge flow work😊
thanks mam
such a good teacher, I primarily use blender!
But im wondering if we can do this in ZBRUSH's , Z-remesher? _idk which one is powerful?_
Maya is pretty lacking in remeshing tools. Even the one im the video is pretty rudimentary.
What unpredictable results? '
May I apply this technique for human character?
You can apply this to anything :)
can I request car modelling
Yass😭😭
Yasssss
those are the hardest surfaces and forms to get... and better if done in CAD actually
because reasons....
I CANT ADD this video TO FAVOURITES in Yourube , WHY?
In general, this function still works poorly :)
