      I suggest to watch "Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team Cinematic Trailer - 2021" so you could finish all of the M2 studio animations they've done for Warhammer 40k: Horus Heresy + 9 edition + 10 edition trailers + Pariah Nexus. All this awesome trailers was made by the same guys. Then there are a LOT of amazing fan animations and trailers for games (like Dawn of War 2 + 3 or Vraks Chapter 1 or even Horus Heresy Death of Hope fan project). You are a lucky guy to have ALL of this amazing official and fan CGI galore for 40k, back in my days we've waited YEARS for a single trailer for a 40k game, and that was all.

      I suggest "Warhammer 40.000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters | Cinematic Trailer" and "Warhammer 40,000: Darktide - World Intro Official 4K Trailer" and "Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr - Cinematic Release Trailer" and "Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 - Launch Trailer" and "Dawn of War III - Announce Trailer" first i mentioned is about 1 and half up to 2 mintues long , 2nd and 3rd is about 3-4 mintues , last i mentioned is 4 minutes. Great Cinematic Trailers for games representing what warhammer is about. Edit: If you want to keep the warhammer theme going on that are my suggestions.

      Those half humans and half machine Is called a servator
      Well basically a slave and they just brain washed so hard they forgot there past and are used tire lessly
      This might beg the question that why not a literral robot?
      Well than you should search 'golden age/dark age of technology'
      And yes those guys in 1:33 this scene well I think these are those guys who failed on becoming a space marine so they are used like that and there life is trash

    To your question about the half torsos. Those are servators. Effectively Humanity used to have ai many thousands of years ago and it rebelled against them causing Untold destruction. In addition to that they also had demonic invasions and a loss of all space travel at the exact same time for 5000 years in a period known as the age of strife. It was even worse to live in than current 40 k. So Humanity now has an incredibly strict no AI policy. But what are you going to do about all those repetitive tasks machines used to do? I mean right now we have machines who is so job is to open and close doors automatically. Well, anyone that commits a crime you take apart their body and turn them into a half machine that runs off their brain hopefully having been given a proper mind scrubbing and then that person if you want to call it that well now do a specific task for the rest of their life, such as open doors automatically when people come by or put on a specific piece of armor. The babies are similar but they're generally that grown rather than criminal babies but if you don't have enough Vats people will still collect the baby from somewhere. Remember, the most ubiquitous resource in the Imperium is Manpower. There are trillions of people out there and you will not be missed.

Servitors are really the only unique part of that post. It's like seeing a jar of a thousand jelly beans and watching someone eat one. I don't know why it sounds like you were threatened by that.

      @@ChompStudio I would love to hear what you as a profesional have to say about the intro movie from the original Dawn of War. It's only 2: 18 minutes, but for me, it's one of the best intros for a wargame i have seen in my 35+ years of gaming, period. Mind you, that game was released in 2004, so this trailer was made almost 20 years ago and with the, in comparison to now, quite limited computing power they had at hand.
      I've just (re)watched the intro because I was looking for it here on YT and it still sucks me in like when I was installing the game and watching that intro for the first time back in 2004. It's very, very visceral, it throws you right into the action with a very close and personal perspective and it creates, at least in my opinion, an incredibly dense atmosphere with the limitations in resolution and framerate they had to work with in comparison with what we are used now and what even relatively cheap homecomputers can handle nowadays. I mean, 'Astartes' was made by a single guy at home...

    • @dagonofthedepths
      @dagonofthedepths 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well years don't mean much. veterans trend to be highly skilled. you can be 400 years old and just a mediocre line soldier. Plus, I guess it's a writing thing, but a lot of chapters have some really long-lived marines. The Wolves of Fenris are like that. I was kind of surprised 300 was kind of the end range for Ultramarines when I finally got around to reading their books.

    • @colinmackay92
      @colinmackay92 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @dagonofthedepths yeah I suppose that's true. I just feel like if you've been around long enough and you've served for a certain amount of time you have enough seniority to kind of be bestowed the rank. But every chapter I guess would do it differently. I assume the lieutenant of the companies would be the ones to decide who gets better and ranking and if you're a very successful company and you don't lose a lot of guys over time you'd just have a company full of veterans/sergeants and then it kind of defeats the purpose of the rank. And yeah I love the older Marines. I mean look at Bjorn lol. Although with him being a Dreadnought you can make an argument that he doesn't count. When he's not fighting he's basically in stasis. But he fought alongside the emperor. There's also been mentions of still living in M42 custodian dreadnoughts that have been around since before the Great Crusade. But again. Stasis.

    Some context of the room.
    All the part human animatronics are servitors. You had it right with the servo-skulls, which are also servitors. They are lobotomised people who are normally criminals etc. And they have been reprogrammed for a particular purpose. In this case being a part of a ceremony of arming a marine. For these purposes it can be seen as an honour to end up as this as you continue to serve the imperium in your new…. ‘Condition’
    The flying babies are known as Cherub’s and are servitor babies, sources of them is a bit up in the air, some say vat grown more recently but see earlier for how else they could be… made.. let’s just say.
    Ai or any form of automation is heretical and how they got around this is by using Lobotomised humans to perform those tasks with augments. Be it an automated door opener, or something more complex like here.
    But the character in Red is a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus. Who are a branch of humanity on mars that see flesh as ‘weak’ and disgusting. They are essentially the armoury of humanity, and provide humanity with all the weapons of war. Commonly will replace as much of their body parts as possible as understand augmentation will last longer and not fail them.. so there is normally not much human flesh too them. They are only after the pursuit of knowledge, and have ZERO care for human life, and are the main source of servitors.. you can put 2 and 2 together there.
    But as you can see in the video they just see this activity as just another task and doesn’t bow to the marine as they are not all that fussed about them. They are more concerned about the suit and the weapon than the marine himself. As they believe each machine has a ‘spirit’ and is something to be worshipped and maintained. As is a part of their ‘machine god’
    Yeah, 40k takes ‘grim-dark’ to a whole new level. Makes anything else look like pepper pig in comparison.

    Uh man, I know this isn't popular and I know that there is a reason for this (even though I think it's a poor one) but that flipping eye lenses thing, I hate it with a passion lol. It's that type of dumb cool that falls apart as soon as you think about it and one of the leading causes of death for space marines is getting shot in the eye. So let's make the eyes more vulnerable by putting all these little motors just so we can take off the bottom half of the helm and use it as a rebreather. Really wouldn't bug me so much if it didn't hurt them in canon for doing that. Most power armor improvements addressed issues the last series had. like one, marines where getting shot in the throat, so they added in a gorget to protect the neck better. This seems backwards.
    Oh course the real reason is they wanted to make models with mask and they just used half a marine helmet to do it so now they have a canon reason why that is. Which cool. Kind of the same reason why bolters don't have stocks, where they broke too easy and where took hard to model in plastic so they just took them out and gave a thin reason why you can't have that in lore. Something about it not working with power armor? Might be wrong but anyway that was the meta reason for it.

Maybe it's an earth era ( somewhere around Horus heresy, im not that knowledgeable with that timetable), when it was just a power suit and not yet space ready, like we see in Astartes.
      Anyway you watched Legacy of the Void, so i wait for Wings of Liberty trailer and to complete that maybe Legacy of the Swarm too.
