- I finished second for the second time in Aichi, this time in the 4th Dan division. This was the Aichi Iaido Tournament held on March 27th, 2011.
I have now gone bronze-bronze-silver-silver at the last four Aichi Iaido Tournaments and while unable to improve my placing this time, I am pleased I didn't drop out of the medals completely.
A huge thank you to all of my friends, family and of course my Sensei and fellow dojo members. I couldn't have done it without you.
Subscribed! I have always been fascinated by Japan and it's history/culture. I have only recently discovered that there are classes in iaido, kobudo and kenpo offered in my area and I am so excited to begin my lessons.
Your video is very captivating to watch, the motions you use portray elegance as well as a deadly nature. Very cool to see! Thank you for posting and I hope this wasn't too forward!
Thanks a lot! I went into that competition feeling pretty good and when I performed my kata I was much more relaxed than I had been in previous years.
very nice performance. impressed by your zanshin and iai.
Thanks!
At the time of this competition, I think I had been at it for about four and a half years. Now it's almost six years since I started.
Very nice, lots of work..
Nice and solid. How long have you been practicing?
you can tell the last kata was the news for him. he did such a great job. really beautiful and impressive to see a kata done at that level of precision.
oh thats one clean kata
Hi. I would like to shre the following with you. The other day I was watching some of your uploads again and was (again) struck by your iai, especially the performed seme and overal zanshin, I found quite impressive. And it happened to be that it became some sort of inspiritation for me. During my last training session I experimented with what I saw you doing and it kindy hit me there. It felt very calm and almost gentle to do it in this motion.Thank you for your sharing. kind regards, Alexander
Yes! It is indeed the 全日本居合道連盟 ZNIR
Ahhh... Sweaty feet on a polished surface... That first squeak made my heart jump.
Impossible!
@ryoma455
no you may not ask that
@ryoma455
Thank you very much!
I'm sorry I have not replied to your question until now. This was the Chubu competition, but I believe it falls under the ZNIR. I will double-check and get back to you ^ ^
👍
Nice Noto
@MrJabber22
Thanks for watching MrJabber22. I'm sorry but there's no need to tell other people what they may or may not ask, especially when the question is polite and wasn't directed to you. This is a public forum and ryoma455 did nothing wrong by asking about the ZNIR.
I'm not sure why you felt the need to address his question to me in such a way, but please refrain from posting silly threats. It doesn't achieve anything and you can't very well slap through your monitor, can you?
(^ ^)
Any chance to get the names of the kata listed? I recognize most.
What happened at 4:05 did you catch the tip in the saya?
