You do get stars from hidden blocks but it's rare. I once had a game where I got 5 hidden blocks and it was coins everytime
Im pretty sure there’s a 25% chance of getting a star from a hidden block
I was playing against a normal difficulty boy today and she got a star from hidden blocks 2 turns in a row!
Was playing with family on a long game. My siblings got hidden blocks with coins. We all said they don’t have stars in them , we kept saying that. That is until the next turn when I get a hidden block and a star comes out, LOL they were so pissed and I was laughing
I got a hidden block star. It was definitely putt felt.
If they keep adding characters and most importantly boards, in the near future it'll become the definitive MP forever

Hidden blocks can give you stars. Their is like 6 hidden blocks per board and 1 or 2 gives you stars
4:10 Hidden Blocks still do give you Stars but it's very rare since it literally only happened to me once out of the dozens of games I've played

There is absolutly nothing wrong whatsoever about playing Mario Party by yourself.
I have no idea where you got that from, but get rid of it.
CPUs were invented entirely for the purpose of being able to play by yourself.
And there's nothing wrong with it at all.

Seriously, who and how came up with the idea that playing on your own makes you lame. No. It's perfectly fine, perfectly acceptable, and there has never ever ever been anything wrong with it.

Play alone. Git gud. Git real gud. Play with family. Cause arguement. Play alone. Repeat.

This game is also surprisingly balanced. I was watching one kf Vinesauce Vinny's streams of this game and by the end of the match everyone had about the same amount of stars and coins
4:16 It's false, unfortunately. Sometimes, hidden blocs give a star in Mario Party Superstars. It happened to me a dozen of times.
Not unfortunately. Hidden Blocks giving Stars is some of the hypest crap in the series, and they've been that way since Mario Party 2 with the exception of 5. Plus it's not entirely random, The hidden block is always put on a specific, randomly chosen blue space on the board, meaning that you can narrow down your options to attempt to land on it intentionally, And the Stars are rare enough That it doesn't flood everyone with them, But common enough that it occasionally decides games.
I played 30 20 turn games and every single hidden block I got was just coins so that's obviously cap.

In Mario Party 4 there is an option to make a minigame list where you can hand pick your favorites, granted you meet a certain number of mingames per category (4P, 1v3, 2v2)
Here’s something else about it I love.
Everything is playable in handheld mode, meaning all of this is playable anywhere at anytime. I mean, that’s just so cool

I'd say games like Mario kart 8 Deluxe, Smash have a bit more longevity if you're going for that multiplayer feel, simply due to the sheer quantity of content each game provides. I recommend picking up Superstars after a)you already have those games or b)More boards and minigames are released with DLC packs.

@@SwitchStop Yeah from what I’ve experienced so far it’s more common to get coins from them but I have gotten a star or two from them. It’s a lot more balanced (and fun) and than super mario party
Just sucks that neither of the Bowser Boards; Magma Mountain and Bowser Land didn't get put into the game, although some are claiming that they've "uncovered" data that lists possible DLC

Actually, the first Mario Party has hidden blocks, but only in the Japanese and PAL releases. They were omitted from the American release.
Soup party wasn't the worst it was a blessing compare to 9 and 10

I think Super Mario Party is actually Mario Party Superstars Beta version.
Manage to get this game yesterday and I really like it. It's nice to see a game to showcase the history of the Mario Party Games.
Although in my opinion, I wish there could be some more characters and maybe 5 more boards added in this game.
For the boards, here's the ones I think should fit in my opinion.
Chilly Waters (Mario Party 3)
Toad's Midway Madness (Mario Party 4)
Pirate Dream (Mario Party 5)
Towering Treetop (Mario Party 6)
Grand Canel (Mario Party 7)

This is the first Mario Party i've played since the Wii, I never owned a Wii U so I haven't had new Mario Party ever since the Wii, i'm glad I got the switch mario party it is a lot different than Mario Party 8 !!

Pretty nice video. I agree with most things you said and I think I'm gonna end up getting this game. Although, you did hate on Super Mario Party quite a bit here. Which is fine. I guess. Also, I always thought the broken coin economy looked fun. I mean, having a bunch of coins and the chance to lose them at any point in time is pretty exciting in my opinion.

Honestly cannot agree with the opinion regarding Super Mario Party. The game actually had a bunch of great qualities to it. The four boards actually had two variations each based of what mode you chose, you also had such a nice large roster of characters, a charming hub menu connected to the game's simple little plot of the crew coming together to throw a bunch of parties together and collecting the party crystals to decide the new Superstar. Single players even got some nice throwbacks towards the first Mario Party with the challenge Road mode that brought all minigames in a neat presentation. Even when not playing a regular Mario Party you had a bunch of extra options in terms of activities with River Adventure, the Rhythm Stage and the toybox set of minigames. The presentation and content in there offer quite some variety and aren't as limited as people make them out to be.
Wrong, the hidden blocks can give you a star in SMPSuperstar too. I saw It happen at least twice with Friends (i am not so lucky)
The Online works well in almost every game... When it lags, it's jjust somebody with a shitty connection or a shitty ISP... Not Nintendo's fault. Never had any problem in any of their games.

1. Hidden blocks have been in the game since MP1
2. You can get stars from hidden blocks, but getting them is much more rare because THERES MORR SPACES INSTEAD OF TINY FREAKING BOARDS LOL
Otherwise, good list. Look forward to the top 10 negative reasons, because while I’m enjoying the game, it does have a lot of flaws and want more people to point them out instead of just being happy it’s not as bad as Super Mario Party

Game idea: This might help a bit with the economy, reverse mini games, the winner gets no coins but the losers will lose a certain amount. Is this a good idea?
That's just a bowser minigame
Mario Party 10 had reverse minigames, but instead, the player in last place would get 20 mini stars or somethin’.

In august 6 2023 I finished with 495 coins
I had a hidden block give me a star
I love the game as well but do find that getting only 3 coins when you become 2nd is a little unfair. Like if you play against friends and they always win the minigames there is no way to get enough coins. I feel like 5 would be better and for 3rd place 3 would be better
do remember that all mario parties before wii gave 0 to second and third place most of the time.
