This is the C Superbike Race from Cycle Jam 2024 that took place on 5/26/24. Lots of good racing this weekend. I was piloting my Kawasaki ZX6R and finished 2nd in the race.
Another great video! one thing missing, TELEMETRY! I can help you with that if you need help, I would love to see the top speeds on the back straight! PS thats my next camera angle, i saw Kyle Ryde using that angle, it really looks awesome and gives us a bunch of options for angles with the 360.
These angles were sick we're able to see everything close up, did notice the fatigue in the body language but still smooth riding! What's your personal best at this track ?
Managing fatigue is a big part of athletic performance. You need to decide what’s the most important to you: doing your absolute best in the sprint races or just improving all around on the weekend. If it’s the former, you might need to turn back the endurance stuff. or take Friday practice off or do you half days of either. Or maybe not practice Sunday morning. How early are you tapering down your outside the track cross training the week into the race weekend?
@@cheetah740 not the day before, it sure, as heck does not. If you did endurance the weekend before, that would be helpful. Doing it the day before, is creating fatigue that does not have time to decay. That’s part of it right there. You’re training too hard up into the competition. You need to back off somewhere. On the workouts, try to do just two or three light workouts that week at 50% instead of the full normal workouts.
@@truthboomertruthbomber5125 that only has so much to do with it. It’s a short sprint race, so you’re likely not dehydrating enough for electrolytes to be a major problem. Unless you are simply neglecting to drink and eat sufficiently all day, it’s likely the compounding of fatigue of overtraining and overridimg in a short period of time. Power lifter basically don’t lift weights at all for the week before competition. Football players stop hitting on Tuesday before a weekend game. Wrestlers just do light drilling and such three days before a tournament. Try backing off some.
@@daytonasayswhat9333 I'm talking about everyday. Most people don't properly hydrate and manage their electrolytes on a day to day basis. By making sure I get the calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium my body needs I basically banished muscle cramps from my existence. The guy in the vid was likely still electrolyte deficient from the endurance race hence the forearm cramping.
Afternoon good sir, Just bought my first zx6. I’ve never had a bike with a slipper clutch. Just curious on your methods for down shifting? Do you rev match? Or you just bang down through the gears and drop the clutch? The last bike I had, had a auto blip on it.
@@cheetah740 I see. Well, at your pace, I think everything’s going to shatter a bit. Even MotoGP guys battle chatter. I built a V2, and am building another. I’ll be joining Super sport (again) soon. I’ll be seeing you on the track lol.
I don't do 1 on 1 unless it's with STT. When you sign up to do a trackday, you can sign up for 1 on 1 on the website, then you can send an email to request me.
So awesome bro keep up the great riding and film as much track footage as possible.
Will do bro! Glad you liked it!
Thank you for the shots showing your brake and throttle input. 🙌🏾
No problem bro! Hopefully that somewhat looked like what we were talking about.
I agree. Along with the Staff sticker getting plenty of airtime, I like seeing when and how you release the front brake
@@palerider6611 lol good ol staff sticker making the rounds in these videos 🤣
10a and B looked awesome.
Appreciate it!
great job!!
Nice riding. You guys look fast out there !
Super informative, great video 💪🏽
Glad you liked it! Thank you
Well done dude. Good commentary. I'll see you at CMP this weekend 🤙🏼
Thanks man! I don't know if I'll be coming out this time. Good luck out there if I don't see you.
Love your content bro. I learned barber motorports tra k by watching one of your videos. Then went there and got my bump to intermediate.
Appreciate that man. That's awesome!
Looking good brudda
🫡🖖 appreciate it brother
Always a pleasure watching these videos. Hoping to meet up with you at a STT event. 👍🏼
Thank you brother!
Absoultely, let's ride!
Subbed! Love this style of video
Much appreciated!
I wish that was me holding you up on the first lap hahaha, maybe next time!
Was a pleasure being on grid with you guys though

Oh man my bad, it was George! Definitely good racing with you!
@@cheetah740 Yes sir! Hopefully I can find some more pace in august, hope to see you there and at Barber!

Thanks man the 360 is pretty dope! How are you adding telemetry?
cookin N bookin! p1 took off, I thought you was in 1st for a while😅 Great racing tho, maybe I'll be fast enough to compete one day😅
Yeah he was gone lol. If you get stuck behind someone going thru those mini esses on the opening lap, it really gives that front runner a nice gap.
yeah, this one looks way better.. you went from VHS to DVD lol
Lmaooo
Great they qualify.

Thanks man. My best is a 1:33.8 from that weekend

Well the endurance racing definitely helps condition you for racing in general. I train all the way up to a track/race day.
Electrolytes!!

I just downshift and drop the clutch but maybe a slight feather to it.
@@cheetah740 and you have zero engine braking?
@@paintman85 I still have engine braking but much less of it. I'm using a 09-12 zx6r clutch that my tuner put in. KWS Motorsports
@@cheetah740 got it. When setting up your suspension/geometry. Did you have a base setting to go off of? Or just set everything individually?
@@paintman85 definitely started off with a base. Depending on where you are, you should talk to thermosman if you want a good baseline geo
Can you do a video of how yougot started in racing and how long it took to get to your level?
For sure, that's a great idea!
2:15 😜
Lol what you winking at?
@@cheetah740 man that pass looks familiar. It’s fun passing over the crest lol
@TGrigor92 haha oh yeah I remember you getting me there pretty good.
🐆🐆🐆 can I have your autograph?!
🤣🤣🤣
Pretty good.
Why’d you pick a Kawi?
It's a great bike with a little more power compared to an r6. Downside is it doesn't handle as well as an r6 and does have chatter issues

@cheetah740 with STT how much will it cost me to train with you ?
