There really is just nothing else like a hand fit custom 1911. And there really is no way to convey how true that is without trying one for yourself. Worth every penny

I bought mine more for HD and SD so I'm okay with the 4lb triggers but after coming from Glocks and Sigs these things feel like cheating. I couldn't imagine shooting an Infinity, Atlas, etc. though. Those are just another level. Congrats on the purchase and good luck with future matches.
I have an Athena, but the Artemis is in the queue! I like more of the properties of the Artemis. If I had done more research it probably would have been my first purchase. Their customer service is OUTSTANDING! Morgan probably is the first person that you contact. She is praiseworthy, which is well deserved, this, by no means, diminishes the team working with her. They are great! FWIW, I like the name Artemis for the same reason that you don't like it. It was one of my favorite shows way back in the day! Thank you for this review! ;-D
I was looking at the Athena due to the online informational "flow" in that direction but the more I look into it, I think, the Artemis is going to be my first Atlas!
that is so amazing. I just put in the ballistics data for a 115 grain +p with 1250 fps and that is 537 inches of drop. The bullet is only going 560 ft/sec when it gets there. Love the content

I tried to buy a SVI/Infinity. Drove from Houston to their place near Dallas, and enjoyed a nice walk around the shop, placed an order for a $6K pistol, and was given a delivery date. Fast forward to ~3 weeks past my delivery date, with no word from SVI, since my order was placed. Called to check on a new ETA, and was surprised to be spoken to as if I was an annoyance. The guy actually said "Do you want the pistol or not?", when all I asked was when was the new lead time. My answer: "You can keep the damn thing, if that's how you speak to a customer. I can only imagine trying to work out a warranty issue, if that's how they reacted to my asking for a new delivery date.

I have been a small business owner (now vet clinic), since 1990, and would never consider reacting to a client in that manner/tone, regardless of how bad a day it was. ;)

I said the same thing. Then I went to the range a couple months ago with a rather wealthy friend and shot his Artemis... I don't care... I just have to have one. It's an amazing gun.

At 100 you really don't even need to do anything differently if your pistol is zeroed at 25 yards. It does take a steady hand but just favor the shoulders instead of center mass. the slightest bit of anticipation or sloppy trigger press will show itself 10 fold! At the longer distance like 2,3 and 4 hundred yards you will have to hold CONSIDERABLY higher. The more you do it the easier it gets. I have been doing these shot for a long time. Even before I started the channel there was a video of me shooing a Glock 32 at 417 yards on 14 inch steels. If you get close with the first one you can usually make a second shot correction. I can tell ya as an open three gunner, I am definitely giving up time to Atlas guys with my Sig Legion. Yeh I get some of that back with my dissident shotgun but those 2011’s are flat out faster!

I know at 100 yds you're just about point of aim with 9mm. What kind of holdover were you using at 2,4, and 5? I would imagine once you master where to aim you can ring the steel quite a bit
The furthest I've shot my pistol has been 165 yards. Both my Glock 21 and Springfield 1911A1 45acp iron sights on both. I hit 8/10 with the G21 and 6/7 rounds with the 1911. But no way I'm sending 230g to 200 yards unless I lob them like artillery haha😁.

I've managed 500 yards with 9mm, but that was with my 13.5" JP. Doing so with a handgun is much more impressive. Nice shooting.

Hyperion is an iron sight gun, they don’t have the ability to mount an RDS.

I cleaned it and it ran without issues for about 300 rounds at a match. It did start choking at the end. Still needs some more rounds.

I just bought an Athena on Friday! Wow that gun is amazing. I have a Staccato P and it is quite a bit better, and the Staccato is no slouch.
