The point of these lists is to farm maximum affiliate link revenue. They have not reviewed any of these chairs for real. They put those extra false claims because they pump SEO ranking. Google search is so broken. LTT promoted a very interesting independent Air purifier review website's blog on this topic.

I shot the chairiff... but not the saddle chair he rode in on.
The funny thing is I worked with a guy who was on a medical pension from the navy from messing up his back, and he brought his own saddle chair into the office that his doctor recommended to him. He used it about 50% of the time and one of the normal office chairs the rest of the time... because the saddle chair was uncomfortable AF. I have no back issues, but I'd get a pain in my back after sitting in it for 30 minutes. It seemed more designed to apply an uncomfortable pressure to your grundle than anything to do with your back.

Medical doctor knows jack *hit about posture and biomechanics. The fact that it's reviewed by MD but not physical therapist/ biomechanist/chiro is already a red flag
This is the kind of lists I'm coming across when looking for good office chairs in Australia. Honestly the options available to us here ( without ridiculous shipping ) are very poor. Flooded with no name Chinese imports, the Australian market seems full to the brim with these kinds of mis-informed rankings and a terrible range of options from solid manufacturers.
So, I have spent north of $50k on office chairs trying to find one that works for me.
I find that one of the biggest problems with a lot of office chairs is with the tilt tension. Everyone knows when you lock a chair upright. There is a little play between the backstop. If you tighten the tension, it will make it harder to produce that play in the chair. However, some chairs don’t have tilt tension that is strong enough to prevent you from not leaning back into the backstop, the reason why this is a problem is because if you sit in your chair and you recline slightly, so it hits the backstop while the chair is fully locked upright, your forearms will start to go numb because you aren’t parallel with the desk anymore. So I will say that Haworth does have that going for it where the tilt tension is very strong, and you can lean back in the chair without the chair reclining into the backstop when it’s locked fully upright.
I'm pretty sure most high end office chairs can do that, not just ones from Haworth.
I usually leave my Aeron in a free recline mode, but if I wanted to lock it upright and not hit the backstop upon reclining, all I'd need to do is increase the tilt tension.
@@StardustLegacyFighter what I’m saying is, it becomes a problem when the chair is upright and the tilt tension doesn’t support your weight when you want to be fully upright. The Aeron doesn’t have that problem. The Fern does.

I saw an 18 million dollar home with terrible seating. An office chair with a backrest that only consisted of 4 steel rods. Couches with really low backrests. An expensive home would not improve my happiness, especially with seating like that.
