    Thank you so much for sharing this. I was looking for how to make resin buttons to use on my crochet, knitted and sewed clothes wnd your tutorial opped up in my search. So glad it did. I use mainly UV resin (as I hate to measure). Also saw your comment about the fact that you wash them at least once week. That's good to know. Your buttons are beautiful ❤️🥰💕💜💙

    Impressive thank you. You need to make another updated version if you have any new molds. Would love to see them.

    A doubt.
    Not using UV resin, only the normal one in the button mould.
    So if I have to stitch these buttons onto a shirt or something, do I need to put a top coating like a spray or something? I mean sealing it?Because these buttons would be hand washed or machine washed regularly.
    By the way the buttons are super cute, love them 😍

      Hello! Thank you for watching! You shouldn’t need a top coat spray or anything because the resin should give it a smooth glassy finish on its own 😊 Also, I sewed my buttons onto a surgical cap and it goes through the wash at least once a week and sometimes twice and the buttons have held up beautifully 😍 I hope this helps!!

    Can you really use them for buttons? What about washing and drying them?

    • @craftbuggy5307
      @craftbuggy5307  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes you can absolutely use them for buttons😊 I used them on my headbands to secure my mask all day and I was washing these weekly and I haven’t had any problems :)

    How long did you cure this under the light? My mold is no longer shiny

    • @craftbuggy5307
      @craftbuggy5307  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! It depends on the wattage of your light. I did two minutes per side

    Does the glitter plug up the holes? I love these

    • @craftbuggy5307
      @craftbuggy5307  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the glitter will not plug the button holes 😊 thank you! They are so fun to make!

    What do you mean by 2 minutes each side. Do you turn it upside down.

    • @craftbuggy5307
      @craftbuggy5307  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Yes, you are correct! I keep it under the light for two minutes and then flip it over to make sure the other side is cured as well. I hope this helps!

    When you made the buttons with the acrylic, did you put a thin layer of resin first, Before the resin mixed with acrylic.?

    • @craftbuggy5307
      @craftbuggy5307  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! Great question! I just mixed the acrylic paint with the resin and poured it into the mold all together. You can absolutely do a thin layer of resin first, but mine cured fully without the thin layer of resin. I hope this helps!

    Can the buttons be washed in the washing machine? And How many second are the buttons in the UV light? 😊

    • @craftbuggy5307
      @craftbuggy5307  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello!! Yes! I put my buttons on a headband to hold my mask up and I wash it weekly and they still look great! As for how long to keep them under UV light- that will depend on your wattage of your lamp. I use a clear mold and I do 2 minutes each side. I hope this helps!

      @@craftbuggy5307 Thank you. 😊 Why is it that I should not buy a UV LED light? 😊
      I'm New to this, so I'm sorry for asking.

    • @craftbuggy5307
      @craftbuggy5307  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello!! Great question! I read somewhere that UV is stronger and with UV LED it has the potential to not cure as fully. But I just realized one that I have been using recently is 24 w UV LED and it does pretty well but I also cure for a little bit longer (since it’s also an older lamp). So I think you’ll be fine with a UV LED 😊

    Can you use epoxy resin with these instead?

    • @craftbuggy5307
      @craftbuggy5307  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes absolutely! I used the UV resin because it had a tiny nozzle making it easier to pour into the small mold 😊

  • @Gospelgirl87
    @Gospelgirl87 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Is it a 36 w uv led light that you have?
