A highly detailed STOL beast - E-Flite Micro Draco 800mm

- Mike Patey's Draco is known as the greatest bush plane of all time. E-Flite took that monster airplane and made an incredibly scaled down version in a affordable and "fly anywhere" size! With the weather against me I took the only somewhat decent day of 10-15mph winds to get a maiden flight of this 800mm Micro Draco. I really like the scale look and the color in the sky is amazing! The 4s power system offers plenty of torque and as the weather improves in NY I will be filming a fun day of STOL flying truly showcasing this airplanes full potential.

Hi, it’s possible to use an external non spektrum receiver with this plane?
Please help, I am planning to purchase my first plane and I almost went ahead and bought the Apprentice STOL S 700mm until I saw this video. Now I am confused😁
Apprentice is a better beginner plane, IMO
This would not be a good first plane
Buy the Nx7e. UMX Turbo timber evolution 2 batteries and a charger and you are then set to really learn and find out if you want to progress and spend more
The Transmitter Nx7e is the base for everything to come. Your best foundation.
Umx with Safe Select and high wing is your best bet so pick one on how your like of planes look. With Safe active all of them will fly extremely easy almost impossible to crash.
The timbers are known for being helpful in the learning process so can't go wrong with any of them.
In my opinion with the remote Identification rules.
I plan on owning and frequently flying these 3 planes because of anywhere park and no laws prohibiting from me flying them.
1 the brand new micro Draco 4s
2 the Umx conscendo 3s
3 the Umx Timber X
These 3 planes are all you ever need buy own and operate you know fly them almost anywhere anytime. With 2 or 3 batteries each.
That's owners bliss money well spent and extreme value for entertainment payoff
You should get the stol 700m.. it's a much better 1st plane.

I jb welded a UMX prop adapter back together till a new one came, it was off balance but still flew

It definitely could be. The gyro takes all the guess work out of flying for a beginner. I didn’t crash test it enough to simply say yes. But from the way it flys…. I would say yes

I’m having issues where I loose control when I takeoff, it ruined my Aeroscout and almost my umx timber x. Any suggestions?
Perhaps trying to force into air before adequate ground speed reached?? Seems like if you had it in safe mode what you describe would be difficult to do.

On takeoff if you truly have safe select from spektrum. And if you have safe select on.
What you described as your takeoff is impossible to happen unless you experienced a micro burst, or white squall because safe won't allow that happen.
Hence the name Safe Select.
You have done something wrong.

@@jakeclauson9863 Don't like to go too negative at fellow RC folks, no matter how different they may be. Not a huge fan of these channels myself but RCSaylors, like them or not have a large base and probably help to bring in a lot of beginners due to their disarming kind of newby vibe and being more visible husband and wife team.
