Missed opportunity to bring back the Giovanni Robes in brotherhood, especially if they could’ve done the e3 version with the glove and engraved Pauldron.
I love the section you dedicate to cannon outfits in the character studies! I’ll also say, it would be amazing to see both of Adewale’s outfits and Shay’s assassin outfit brought back as Legacy outfits.
Personally, I always enjoyed the default armor with the ebony wetlands dye and the auditore cape, but I'm definitely inclined to agree that the armor upgrades are terrible in design. I definitely think it would've benefited from a more "Historically appropriate" design. I.E. incorporating the scaled design that was utilized by the Andalusian army with mobility in mind or the design of plated Armor akin to that of the Byzantine army.
If the Armor of Brutus looked just like the drawing you find in one of the Romulus Cult missions on top of Ezio's default robes it would probably be peak design of Ezio. Black and gold armour with golden accents looked beautiful
I don't understand why everyone seems to hate on the armor of Brutus, I think it's a badass outfit and fits very well with the narrative. "Cesare" is an Italian respelling of the Latin name "Caesar", so it is fitting in a way that surpasses the meaning of the word for Ezio to use this armor.
I only just noticed that in-game he has two gloves but in the promo posters he only has one on the bladed hand, my bad I’ll correct this in the revelations vid 👍
@@willismakesmovies It's funny because I remember Altair only having 1 glove too so I thought maybe it was just the PC version of AC1 being slightly different
I didn’t know the armour of Altair was resistant to the pieces of eden that makes so much more sense and explains why Altair was able to be harmed by the apple besides Isu DNA I thought that’s why ezio wasn’t able to be harmed by the papal staff. Thank you I just finished ac 2 for the first time since before ac 3 came out I believe so when I was like 12 so I missed a lot of details
Mistaken though, if I remember correctly when Ezio fought Rodrigo at the end of AC2 it was Ezio’s possession of the apple to protect him from the staff’s power, not the armour. As a matter of fact once Rodrigo took the apple off Ezio, Altair’s armour did not protect him at all when rodrigo lifted him off the ground using the force and stabbed him
Can you do a video on ranking the narratives in the series. For me AC 2 and 4 Black Flag is one of the best, with Unity and Rogue being one of the worst in the series, with Syndicate, Valhalla and Mirage being somewhere in between
With the hindsight of the newer games particularly in Origins.. the armor of Brutus, was supposed to be worn by a Roman assassin working with Aya when the assassinated Caesar... At least that's how the story was supposed to go because they have all those keys and documents that you can read when you pick up the armor and brotherhood but obviously an Origins they don't make that connection
I'd say the main reason that the brotherhood robes are used mostly over ezio's other robes is due to them actually being his robes and not Giovanni's like in AC2
A little late to the party, but there's a way for players to temporarily get rid of the weapons you have and, funny enough, it involves the Outfits menu. The trick is to let yourself be killed holding the weapon you want to remove like the sword, crossbow, or dagger. Once the camera pans from your body, go into the menu and switch outfits. The game should reload without the last weapon you held. Repeat until they're all gone. Another way is the straightforward buy a heavy axe and throw it to get rid of your main weapon and be left with the crossbow and dagger of choice. Works with Revelations too.
My ranking would be: 8. Altair's robes 7.Brotherhood robes 6. Armour of Brutus 5. Raiden outfit 4. Florentine Nobleman 3. Desmond 2. Armour of Altair 1. Draken Armour This ranking is very close though as I quite like all of the outfits
Future games only ever used ACB robes bc they're Ezio's Master Ass robes. In Unity, all the outfits are called "Master Ass Outfit", and technically Ubi isn't wrong, but taking until Valhalla to give us the other robes is just too criminal
Ok I need to know. Is whereing Altairs armor in this game considered canon? At the beginning of the game you see a flash back of ezio wearing it when he returns to the villa de Auditore. Is this just a plot hole or does he or one of his assassins retrieve it bc it is indestructible
Ok, so with the Desmond outfit, I somehow unlocked it without doing any of the Subject 16 stuff, it was through something with 100 percent synch in some sequence, I'm not sure, because it still baffles me as to how I unlocked Desmond without The Truth.
I always love the Drachen armor I always put it on after getting the Armor of Brutus
Same. Personally I think the drachen armor would have fitted better as the strongest armour in this game
My personal favourite section of your vids so this being a series is so hype for me, much love
For the knife of Altair, watch the trailer Altair was here. Thats a pretty good theory/explanation I think. Great video. Safety and peace

@@cotymccollum2927 agreed. Giovanni’s robes are my absolute favorite. Quite a bummer they didn’t add it in.

I only wish that the outfit Ezio had in the trailer and promo art was an outfit that could be worn over armor, would’ve been cool

The Brotherhood fit is literally the best one in the entire franchise.
I feel like a podcast episode could be done On just video game outfits or even ac outfits....
10:27, phrasing .. but also seeing an Assassin's Creed/Predator crossover would be both really interesting and horribly brutal
My ranking would be:
8. Altair's robes

4. Florentine Nobleman
3. Desmond
2. Armour of Altair
1. Draken Armour

definitely a bit late but i would swap the raiden outfit with the brutus armor, making the raiden armor last in my opinion.

I liked both too much 🤣
Something tells me you should not do a character study on Kassandra, Eivor, or Basim. Knowing well you hatred along with frustration to those games.
It’s all done in good jest, if I was to do studies on those characters then I’d take it seriously
