Wow a newly build and released phone... I'm loving this teardown... As well as noticing a simple flaws... those plastic clips and clasps at the back cover (after the glass) might get brittle much faster due to its clear back cover and heat from the phone itself.
👍 . It's possible, but I'm sure they used a type of plastic that would last a good while. However the back glass without any laminate layer would be prone to breaking from drops I would feel, and would break away and not just crack since there is nothing behind it to hold it. But looks good at least lol.

How about the power button? Is it difficult to access/fix? Mine broke recently, phone was stuck on reboot loop until the battery ran out. I don't care about the phone much, I just want to access the data, so I'd rather go to a repair shop than contact official support about it (as they would probably do a format if not replace the entire device). What are my chances of success in that case?
Usually the button can be pulled out of the frame on most of the phones by using a knife or blade to grab a side n pull out. But if the flex cable underneath which has the clicker is the problem, its replaceable also but more complex. Its not the hardest thing to replace but not the easiest either. A repair shop should be able to do it
In my case the button is not mechanically pushed in or stuck so I think it's the matter of the wiring... I will be taking it to a repair shop because although I still have the warranty for it, I don't want to lose the data by sending it out to the official service. Thanks for the reply!
@@PBKreviews Thanks for your answer, I am pleased that you are faster and more thorough than your competitors. I wonder how much that saves on costs when there are no extra holes in the display for this sensors.
I'm not 100% sure but I would assume the thermal pad offers a more even heat transfer over the surface and would not dry up as quickly. But again that's just my guess. Color I'm not sure as well but I would lean toward different type of thermal compound or material would have different colors.
Typically pads are used to fill a gap, and paste is used when you have the surfaces touching. Most are grey, some with white or metallic sheen and one particularly high end paste is pink. The colour doesn't have to matter at all really. That said, many manufacturers will colour their product lines differently so they're easier to tell apart, or make an easier guess as to which product will be a direct replacement.
If you're looking for a decent midranger and not expecting a high end flagship device, I would say yes. Its a decent phone with a sturdy frame that looks good.
Special contact for who know the channel 😉 Excellent work. And one more thing have you ever seen a phone that does not have main and sub board? One solid board for both or other deign
Love the design of this phone. But i'm concerned about how difficult it is to replace the screen. Guess if you break that, it's cheaper to just recycle and buy a new Phone (1). But at least everything ain't glued to hell and back, like on iPhones.
They are needed in some instances where there is no plastic cover going over it to hold it down in place. Since sometimes these cables become loose or disconnected from drops.
I don`t understand, if they decided to copy apple design, they should also copy the way to disassemble the display. That`s the component that breaks the most and often. On iPhone it`s easy to replace and you don`t need to disassemble the whole phone just to replace one component. Nokia had similar approach to this next to Apple.
I would take 95% of android phones for repair over apple phones any day. iPhones are much more annoying to work with and have so many different type and size screws. The display replacement, sure its a bit quicker. But when you need other things replaced, it becomes much more complex. For example on iPhones, if you drop and break your back glass, replacing that isn't easy at all and in most cases you would have to replace the entire frame assembly. Also say your screen is fine but your charger port went bad, or your battery is bad (which is a commonly replaced part just like the screen), prying the screen off poses a greater risk of damaging a working screen compared to taking off the back cover and going that route. However they can easily design it so the phone can be taken apart from both ends which would be most ideal. Like on the S22, S22+ and S22 ultra, the screen can be replaced by prying it off from the front after heating it up (even though this method is a bit harder since you would need to align the cable correctly to reconnect when pressing down the new replacement screen). Also you can take it apart from the back to replace other components. Hopefully more and more devices will be designed in a way that you can take them apart from the front or back depending on what parts need replacing to make the process much easier :)
@@PBKreviews I know about the other parts, been there, done that, and probably will never repair any iPhone in my life, especially when I have shaky hands :D But I am specifically talking about the displays. Good thing that most android manufacturers are being reasonable with the screws, but who knows how much is this is going to last? Since everyone likes to blindly copy Apple. Remember that Samsung does not know to make a commercial without mocking Apple, not to mention that they mocked Apple when they removed the headphone jack... Samsung already made difficult replace some parts on their phone, for example I replaced OEM display on my sisters old Galaxy A50 and the fingerprint sensor just does not want to register a new fingeprint.
Yup, the adhesive isn't too strong so peeling them off isn't difficult but the design is annoying that you have to remove a few things, then unscrew some screws and have to remove a few more things that are covering screws to unscrew those as well.
