You'd be surprised and amazed how far modern cellphone cameras have come. It's a great entry step for hobbyist astronomers
I think it's definitely a bit overhyped, seeing as it's basically a somewhat generic android device, but the design is definitely interesting. I think I prefer the black, but they both look great. I'd say it's pretty impressive how much the packaging and brand identity adds to what is essentially a basic phone. Personally, out of the endless wave of smartphones which have the same boring looks (seriously sometimes cant say which one is oppo realme or vivo etc etc ) , Nothing Phone 1 is a breath of fresh air.....thumbs up to the Glyph interface. Not a flagship killer for sure but in the budget segment.... this is a phone for consideration .

I really like the back lights but I always put a case on my phone for protection. I guess my only option would be to get a clear case. Anything else would make getting this phone pointless.
It doesn't seem to have any redeeming qualities aside from flashy lights that I'm positive most users will end up turning off to preserve battery life, so even that will rapidly become obsolete.

Good luck finding this type of display panel, wireless charging and OIS, with this type of software support and proper stock Android on other devices in this price range. It's a great device on it's own, the design just makes it more unique.
Excellent unboxing and the examinations of if it could handle extreme gaming of how it would get heated up or stay cool. I love the design of the lights on the back of the phone as it can flash or turn on when you pick it up or if someone is calling you
Nah. There has had many discussions since the release and a bunch of them agrees that this phone is a bit too much especially for a startup brand. For example, at this price you can go with A73 5G from Samsung which is more versatile (SD card slot and IP67 rating) and more reputable brand. For less price, you can get Moto Edge 30 for similar pure android experience. Or even less for Mi11 lite 5G NE. I mean, for this phone, if you not into its "gimmicks" like LED on the back, the build material (which is similar to iPhone) or just the name of Carl Pei (co-founder of OnePlus who started this Nothing company). I think there are too many options to get even apart from my 3 suggested one.

I still have my samsung tablet for good photos and sound, so to me it's just perfect. The battery is charged in no time and again, I can just replace stuff if something breaks or the battery weakens
Had the phone for a while. Do remember it costs only €280 now and is the best budget phone with pure Android experience. The company is new so it has some hiccups but other than that best vfm phone

Wow, this so very nice. I've been working in sales in a telecom company for 10 years now. When I first started this job, is was because of my interest in mobile phones. That interest decreased over the year but now I feel a spark of my original excitement when I first started. This is definitely the future.
TLDR: great phone for the price, just remember that saidprice is sub £500 for an average range 2022 phone its definitely lived up to the hype, the only problem with the phone is that people are comparing it to this years flagships which are over double the price. Personally, if it had the upgraded specs with the extra price that comes along i'd be more than happy to get this but as it stands im too reliant on my phone to switch to a new companies first phone which is aimed at a mid-range audience.
It look cool and has interesting gimmick with the average good standard camera but the performance are not kinda stable and a lot issues need to improve. It's better for Sci-FI prop than actual use but I open my mind for future improvement.
I think it is kind of cool with the back design. But I'm instantly turned off when products are sold without things like the end for a charger. I remember when you could buy a phone, get the full charger, sometimes a carcharger, and a pair of headphones (usually not that great but you had them). Especially if you are paying over $300-$500 for a device. Give me a full charger atleast.

Fortnite have more lags every update, 6 months ago I played Fortnite at low settings with stable 90-100 fps on snapdragon 855+, now I barely have unstable 50 fps
I think I will buy the black one as my new daily phone since my old one was spoilt recently, even though my teacher told me it gets very hot quickly while gaming. It is quite cheap compared to many gaming smartphones.
This is a very new chipset, it's just not the most high-end. The reason for this is to lower costs + improve battery life, because one thing the 778G+ is very good at is power consumption.

I don't think 778G+ is that old. I mean you can check the prices of the smartphones released this year so far. If it's an annually update version, most of them either using the same chip as last year model or just a bit better but costing a lot more (20-30%). All of these are from inflation and chip shortages. And I think 778G+ is already at the sweet spot. If you're for performance like 860 or even 870, you are not the target of this phone from the start.
Definitely overhyped. If it at least had it's own operating system, there would already be a step to a phone revolution, but it's just an ordinary phone with a few things and a non-standard design

I really like the back lights but I always put a case on my phone for protection. I guess my only option would be to get a clear case. Anything else would make getting this phone pointless.

The curvature of your thumb when giving a thumbs up is nothing short of unsettling.
It doesn't seem to have any redeeming qualities aside from flashy lights that I'm positive most users will end up turning off to preserve battery life, so even that will rapidly become obsolete.

Except for the unique back design there's nothing to be amazed by. Just a typical smartphone with a big price.
Good luck finding this type of display panel, wireless charging and OIS, with this type of software support and proper stock Android on other devices in this price range.
It's a great device on it's own, the design just makes it more unique.

Pixel 6's display is truly terrible, doesn't come close to this device's panel quality for sure and yes i have used both.
Excellent unboxing and the examinations of if it could handle extreme gaming of how it would get heated up or stay cool. I love the design of the lights on the back of the phone as it can flash or turn on when you pick it up or if someone is calling you

Nah. There has had many discussions since the release and a bunch of them agrees that this phone is a bit too much especially for a startup brand.
For example, at this price you can go with A73 5G from Samsung which is more versatile (SD card slot and IP67 rating) and more reputable brand.
For less price, you can get Moto Edge 30 for similar pure android experience. Or even less for Mi11 lite 5G NE.
I mean, for this phone, if you not into its "gimmicks" like LED on the back, the build material (which is similar to iPhone) or just the name of Carl Pei (co-founder of OnePlus who started this Nothing company). I think there are too many options to get even apart from my 3 suggested one.

@@no_You_ Its probably nothing for gaming and the camera and sound also is really medium to low quality, but if you just need a phone with social media and other functional apps, its perfect. I still have my samsung tablet for good photos and sound, so to me it's just perfect. The battery is charged in no time and again, I can just replace stuff if something breaks or the battery weakens
Had the phone for a while. Do remember it costs only €280 now and is the best budget phone with pure Android experience. The company is new so it has some hiccups but other than that best vfm phone

TLDR: great phone for the price, just remember that saidprice is sub £500
for an average range 2022 phone its definitely lived up to the hype, the only problem with the phone is that people are comparing it to this years flagships which are over double the price. Personally, if it had the upgraded specs with the extra price that comes along i'd be more than happy to get this but as it stands im too reliant on my phone to switch to a new companies first phone which is aimed at a mid-range audience.

It look cool and has interesting gimmick with the average good standard camera but the performance are not kinda stable and a lot issues need to improve. It's better for Sci-FI prop than actual use but I open my mind for future improvement.

I think it is kind of cool with the back design. But I'm instantly turned off when products are sold without things like the end for a charger.
I remember when you could buy a phone, get the full charger, sometimes a carcharger, and a pair of headphones (usually not that great but you had them). Especially if you are paying over $300-$500 for a device. Give me a full charger atleast.

Would've been better if they use the latest chipset.
This is a very new chipset, it's just not the most high-end. The reason for this is to lower costs + improve battery life, because one thing the 778G+ is very good at is power consumption.

I don't think 778G+ is that old.
I mean you can check the prices of the smartphones released this year so far. If it's an annually update version, most of them either using the same chip as last year model or just a bit better but costing a lot more (20-30%). All of these are from inflation and chip shortages.
And I think 778G+ is already at the sweet spot. If you're for performance like 860 or even 870, you are not the target of this phone from the start.
