  • perfect example, to show you how to NOT do things around vespa tuning.
    enjoy! its quite brilliant :D
    this work was done sadly by an official vespa shop and does cost 1600 usually. no, it does not matter which shop, its about to avoid classic mistakes like this, when you tuning your engines.

    Stunning work as usual, a good display of how small repairs turn an engine into a Shitter and puts people off riding. Great VIDEO.

    the foam air filter should be cleaned and oiled every 2000-3000 kilometers, the hot environment is no problem for the intake, the speed of the suction freezes the intake pipes on normal motorcycles

      it just made a few hundred km, as the engine as u can see was totallt f... Up by an official shop. Unrideable
      Its nit aboit washing
      This cone (not even venturi) and the foam Filter are completelly not needed on a vespa. Engine sucksin hot air frpm the cyl and dirt from the rear tyre and street. 🤦‍♀️ Really silly idea.
      U suckin
      Btw no. I dont clean my motorbike air filter all 2-3000km
      if any then all 20.000km

    why you dont add silicone liquid gasket to prevent oilsucker? i already trying it and it work like a charm

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      my approach: sealing mass is first of all to FIX & GLUE the gasket onto the small engine half, where the weak spot of all vespa engines is, see here how i do it:

      @@FreakMoPed8 yep, already see that tutorial, but I dont have a choice to use silicone gasket when facing an aged and damaged casing XD

    Big fan as you may know, but could you slow down the onscreen descriptions? They’re a bit too fast to read! 🙏

      Thx! Its then endangered to get even more boring as it already, better just Pause it, wherever it gets interesting. or just slow dowm the whole Video speed under settings

    Hey @mista FreakMoPed -- can you elaborate on what you mean at 4:33, showing the brake shoes -- "edges should be rounded"?

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      round the edges of the coating

      @@FreakMoPed8 Aha, I did not know that one. Just a little chamfer on the brake shoe material then, eh. Ok! Cheers

    Sorry for commenting to this unrelated video but i want to ask you something....can stator points in a 1979 vespa 50, give spark but the engine wont start?
    I tested for spark and it seems okay, but when i kickstart it, it wets the plug and doesnt start. Checked compression, fuel, all is okay.

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sry no smallframe expert. Try different stator, also check carb setting and rotary valve tolerance
