    Hello Mr Freakmoped!
    Thank you so much for your time and effort in putting videos like this together and sharing your knowledge. Much appreciated❤
    Question - worth drilling to 2.5mm even if running a more stockish setup, e.g. only Sip road 2/3 with stock cylinder. Maybe with a DR177cc?
    AS IS 2011 PX150 w catalytic exhaust. SI20:20 carb.

    I’ve heard the G carb performance is better than the E one I’m sure the reservoir is taller and holds more fuel? Would love to see comparisons in your video 👍😀

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no, its exactly the same as the E, just the intake is a bit shorter and therefore the air filter (including a venturi) is higher. stick to the E, its perfectly fine. the small advantage of the G, is often anyways lost due to sloppy or fear influenced carb setting

    Hi good video! Pinasco sell 2 type of SI 26 : the SI 26 E(spaco) is 24.8 mm, the SI 26 ER is 26.0 mm (optimized spaco). Is better the 24.8 mm with homemade modifications

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      just the bore of the SI25 (25,4 actually) as widened 0,6mm and mj bore 2,5 (but better to be checked if drilled trough) this one: th-cam.com/video/9btA6VmxdgU/w-d-xo.html
      but still, this article number is sold widely as 26mm, which people believe of course, but it isnt....

  • @davidwilliamson9162
    @davidwilliamson9162 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’ve noticed this and bought one cheap I want to bore it out to as close to 26mm as I can,the vortex kits work well too but make sure u drill out!

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      stick to 24mm, not worth the hazzle, good set si24mm performs as a mature 30mm carb, we dont need more. better invest the tuning love into intake- & cylinder timings plus exhaust port shape and widht cause THATs where real power sits. INSIDE the engine, not external at the carb or its air filter, thats all more liklely cosmetics :)

    Very good Video mista.
    But don´t forget to check the Fuel Level in the float chamber.
    i got 3 carbs were the Fuel Level ist to less so it feel like the Carb don´t get enough Fuel.
    3 seals under the float chamber lid and the Problem was solved.

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      how come. cause putting the lid higher causes that the swimmer can open a tiny bit more. BUT most of the flow is trough the horizontal bores anyways so additional gaskets, dont change that... (u did see my cover cover test? th-cam.com/video/G9e1pVJSehg/w-d-xo.html )

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      but in general, with these simple 1,2,3 tricks, there are no fuel supply issues anymore, at lost not with my engines, BUT i only use SI carbs till aprox 22-25hp (where they are already a bit naughty and annoying) from this limit on, proper maturel full carbs are needed, ie phbh 30

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no. you cant gain any power with that, it would be just optical tuning. better look into otuning, ie my otuning light guide, some modification at head, cyl and piston do show very good effects

      @@FreakMoPed8 Thanks, but I am looking to improve the performance of my PX200 without modifying the cylinder, any recommendations?

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      only little or no effect, beside less money. 1st recommendation is always to work on cyl and piston as it shows the biggest effect and is very easy to do.
      taking a different cnc machined cylinder head with proper design shows a bit effect.
      BUT also less effect than cyl optimising. or get a different cylinder (cheap available, also seized ones are fine) and play with it and keep your current one in the shelf in original state. any change at carb side doesnt make sense (venturi is also only optical, its the same as simply removing the air filter)
      the big limits of the original engine
      0) exhaust: just a silencer not a 2stroke exhaust
      1) low cyl timings
      2) small exhaust port
      3) short intake timings
      4) bad cylinder head with huge squish
      and this is exactly the order where to start optimizing
