Bischoff is awesome. Without him there is no war.. no NWO, no DX, no Attitude era.

The worker Vince is: JBL bought the "WCW is trying to kill us" in a way Crockett, Gagne, Watts, Ole, Fritz, etc could NEVER convince their talent to buy when it was Vince being the aggressive predator. Amazing....

I will always remember when WCW came into Providence, RI. This was like another team playing in the Bronx that isn't the Yankees. The show started with Bischoff hidden in the rafters when the lights went down and he was revving up a motorcycle suspended by chains in air. Great stuff.

U CANT TAKE AWAY THE GENIUS OF BISCHOFF . the attitude era was already in full swing in the independents 1994 - 1995 . bischoff made it work in the mainstream .. thats the real genius of this . shame it ended the way it did but wrestling was taken to such a high place even when its declined its became a billion dollar industry .now its all about njpw though

mylifeintheknifetrade Everything In WWE is over managed and over-written now because they have to be family friendly now since they’re a public company. The promos are almost completely written ahead of time for the wrestlers now and it’s done by a team of ridiculous people from comedians to Hollywood writers and actors and some don’t even know wrestling beforehand. It’s all completely over managed but there’s 0 competition now. You always hear about in the Attitude Era wrestlers would go out and not do jobs to protect their own character and making their own choices in the ring despite what the owners of whatever company wanted, that legitimately never happens in WWE now because the company for most guys is wrestling itself in the USA. I wonder if it’ll ever be like that again with the way society is now, everything is managed and watered down.

This day and age its good to see. Just about everyone involved realize its best for everyone to at least appear to get along. Though not old enough to see the matches live i do remember people trying to get ali and Frasier on the same platform to talk abour the rivalry from both sides. It just wasn't going to happen. I think Frasier had been so hurt by the racial insults. You literally couldn't pay him enough to get in the same room. Luckly we get to hear the both sides of the same story.

I dont think eric gets enough credit for creating the modern style of wrestling. well, not creating it, but having enough understanding of the business and where it was going and doing an incredible job scouting talent from ECW and Japan and create high flying wrestling that every wrestler has had to learn at least some of to be competitive in the modern environment. If eric didnt showcase eddie, jericho, mysterio, beniot, malenko, and others, WCW would not have lasted even half as long, they were the backbone of that show because they made every match on the card incredible. And its those guys who really made the aggression era on smackdown compete with attitude
