@@Sunshinebaby-I learned twinkle twinkle at the first 1-2 months. Mind you it is one octave lower plus with pizz. . For the realistic version… would be at least 4 months
As a violin player, I have slowly started appreciating piano more than my own instrument. In violin, you have more technique (vibrato) and you have to be precise with finger placement to get the correct note. In piano, (if the piano is properly in tune) you can just hit a key and you’re in tune. There are slurs on both instruments (don’t know how they work on piano) and violinists shift positions on the fingerboard to reach higher notes on the strings (I know pianists move their hands to a different spot, but I don’t know what it’s called). Technically, violin is more difficult than piano, but I have always envied the way piano sounds compared to the violin. Also, the third movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata is a masterpiece and nearly killed me with its beauty.
@@Skibbityboo0580I never got a choice. I was young when my parents signed me up for violin lessons. As I got older, and saw more and more people playing piano, I fell in love with the instrument. Don’t get me wrong, I am truly grateful to have had an opportunity to learn to play an instrument, but the more versatile nature of the piano keeps attracting me like a magnet. I love the violin, but I like how the piano sounds better than a violin. At least I can play duets with piano players.
I always though the same that piano is easier yet still has a better sound for example bass notes (there is no base notes for violin so it sounds weak) (I am a pianist by the way).
As someone who plays both violin and piano, once you have practised a piece on the piano it can be easier than violin, but depends on the piece and hand movment. One of the main difficulties is coordinating both hands.
@@eagleler-wt2rr Violin. I have never heard of or seen a single beginner start with la Campanella, instead something more like ‘twinkle twinkle little star’. But la Campanella for the piano would still be pretty hard tho even if you’ve played 10 years of piano
As a violinist I can say that the first time you play a violin, you have your hand further up the finger board (so you have extra support and because you haven’t learnt notes yet) and you hold your bow more at the halfway point (also for extra support) and then you struggle on trying to use the right bowing techniques to avoid a crunchy sound from bowing too slow and with too much pressure, and trying to avoid an airy sound due to not bowing straight and with too little pressure. Also two of the biggest things I struggled with growing up was bowing only one string (kept on accidentally playing the others) and intonation, as there was never really a guide to show which notes were right like with piano and you just had to use your ears or pray the notes were correct.
i play viola! it’s a similar instrument to the strings family! i’ve been playing for i believe a year now. i’ve done concerts in a theme park. you’ve got this!
It’s actually the hardest instrument and I can proudly say I’ve been learning it for a year and a half and can ply decently not pro or anything but I can play with an orchestra of others
I was so bad at violin when I first started that I didn’t even play during concerts- I air bowed- but now, I have confidence in playing and strive to get better- you’ll get better ig you put your heart into it I just learned how to play the Bb clarinet at the beginning of the (American) school year, learned how to get the sound lout in one day after learning how to put it together, learned more than 2/3 of the majority of notes On the side of that, I’m going back into learning piano and guitar but guitar is something I want to do when I can afford one I played flute for a year, I quit because the instrument didn’t suit me
So funny but so true about violin. I started learning violin as an adult 11 months ago and I don’t feel any better with my skills, in fact it feels I’m getting worse or perhaps my hearing have learned to hear better.
Can you please learn us that how you do the one second violin please please please please please please please please please please please please please😢😢😢😢
I picked up the violin and played tinkle tinkle little car, an original piece by yours truly. With 7 years of piano I had a good enough ear to just BAM so I 100% composed this 100% original piece.
I don’t think that’s very accurate, because you have to learn how to hold your bow correctly and make sure your fingers are on the right place but that’s just my opinion. I’ve never played piano so I don’t know how hard it is.
Does anyone want to comment on the fact that NOT EVEN THE MOST GIFTED prodigy EVER could play either of those pieces on the violin after only 1 second?!?!?!?!!!!!!!
I play violin and i am in elementary school when i played it for the first week i can already do the 10 years because it's actually one of the first songs i learn

As a violin and piano player, I can confirm that violin is a lot harder to learn and takes a lot longer to actually play good than piano. My first second of violin was literally just trying to get it in tune whereas my first second of piano was playing a few notes.😭

I think it is part of the journey of every string instrument player to think, at least once "I should have learned the piano".
