This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my TH-cam channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,312 subs and > 1,000 hours of watch time. @@Dionne_Sheree Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my TH-cam channel about holistic health. I am hoping that you can join me with this endless personal development journey! :)
I just started vlogging. I'm quite a different personality type to vlog I believe. I am very introverted and basically I have no meaning in my life, so at this point I don't really care that much and just share everything.
Etienne! Good to hear from you man. Hope things are well. And yeah, that's been a big one for me. I've learned a lot of editing tricks, and gotten ideas from shots from watching other people who are ,much better than me at their craft. The key is taking the inspiration and putting your own spin on it, which I'm sloooowly getting better at ha.
Thank you so much I've been wanting to do vlogs but i always thought my life isn't interesting but you helped me open my eyes and i do i have a great personality thank you so much
I just started uploading travel vlogs recently. I've also been wanting to do some slice of life vlogs, just to have memories saved and be able to look back on them later. It's nice to have something to watch when I want to remember the fun moments in my life. I'm still getting the hang of it, tho. I get kinda shy whenever I film in public 😢 I hope we all find the courage and energy to capture the beautiful moments in our lives. Here's to that! 🥂
Thank you my g....i was really worried why people are not watching my videos.....i thought it was because of my personality ...but u said that look at people who inspire you and learn from...thank u for that.....
thank you for this video!! I have been dying to dive into vlogging for God knows how long, and this really helped break down some things that I was overthinking 🙃 thank you for your help 🙏🏾 ❤
Thank you so much for these tips! I’m from southern Alabama...out in the country...so sometimes I think “what can I vlog about?” I never thought about those camera angles. That was a dope tip!
Thanks for this video mate 🙂 I have had quiet a few requests from my subscribers asking to see a bit more behind the scenes of my personal life, I'm more than happy to share my private life with them, but I am struggling to see how I make my very quiet life interesting to watch. I guess I'll just show them my simple life, rather than trying to be interesting as such. Thanks again pal, Best wishes brother 🙏🏼 💙
Wow, exactly the perspective I needed! I am going to start a vlog to go with my blog. I am excited, just struggling with how to begin. This is soo helpful! Thanks!
Me too I'm very quite type of personality I staterd making vlog a couple years ago, well thank you very much for giving an inspiration to continue my journey on making vlog, thank you so much sir ❤
I just sit inside and browse the internet and watch TH-cam videos every day. The place where I live is tiny and there's nothing to do unlike New York where Casey Neistat lives and makes his vlogs. Although I probably still wouldn't know what to say if I lived there.
Naud, thanks for the comment! One of the best exercises I've seen for this, is to do a "boring room challenge" it might help spark some creativity within yourself as you're thinking about vlogging and filming stuff for yourself: th-cam.com/video/i8Fo0yL18Pc/w-d-xo.html
Same I literally don’t go out ever. I’d love to but I don’t want to go out by myself so. I end up sitting on the couch inside. Not much for an interesting story
it's kinda the same for me, but i actually think of using vlogs TO motivate me to do stuff outside, go out with friends more etc. Not sure if this makes sense tho :D
Great vid. Great advice. I appreciate the openness with a touch of reality. What do you use to record sound? I have a pistol mic but there is so much background noise being picked it can be tricky to get clear sound and yours was pretty decent.
This was really encouraging. I am struggling with editing and time and all that. I feel like the few I’ve done are pretty good. lol. I think I’m hilarious.
Thanks Ric! This was shot with a Panasonic GH5 and a Sennheiser lav mic. Recently switched over to using a Canon mirrorless, but still using the same wireless mic. Not cheap, but WELL worth it for this kind of thing.
The concepts are easy. Don't just sit in front of the camera, tell a story, do things you're interested in. But each one of those does take a lot of practice. But once you start actively thinking about them, it can be easy to make incredible progress pretty quickly. Thanks for the comment!

One suggestion with the risotto; next time, fry the pancetta and then use the remains to saute the shallot. Instead, bake the asparagus to keep the flavor.
